if i remember correctly att doesnt even use pppoe they use dynamic like cable

Thats what I have noticed... I would get it but they only offer Up to 3.0Mbps downstream/384Kbps. Also I'm about 10510 feet away from the CO.

i wouldnt worry about the distance from the CO. they have remote dslams all over the place now so that really doesnt matter

Huh, i checked and the highest available to me was 3Mbps???
EDIT: I'm talking about AT&T DSL not Yahoo DSL... sorry. (Does that make a difference?)

no that doesnt make a difference, its the same thing.
i would call and see, because just about anyone can get the 6mbps

there math is really bad 3mbps is not 100x faster then dialup, its only 50x
