Hi,
I came to this site to check my broadband internet; sprint broadband run through a netgear broadband router. (I can provide specifics if need be). I was recommended to come here so i did the test and got 137kbps which is 11% of the others. This is very slow and is really a bother. If anyone can help it would be greatly greatly sppreciated.
Thanks

Hi shayes , as tdawn stated , please post what speed you should be getting as well as performing a ping test , that will help get started.

To ping a host...
  • Windows
Start > Run > type CMD [enter] > from the command prompt type ping google.com and/or ping testmy.net
  • Linux / Mac
    Under Applications/Utilities open 'Terminal' > type ping google.com and/or ping testmy.net
Paste those results here.

I was wondering if my issue can be resolved. I'm paying for 2MBPS and in the afternoon till like 11pm, i only get around 150kbps. then around 2am till 8am is the time my speeds peak at 1.5mbps. can this be fixed? if so what details are needed? will be happy to provide.

My thoughts are your on a connection which in many ways , shares the bandwidth , so when people are using there connection you all are allocated a limited amount of bandwidth. QOS or quality of service settings on the host side , will not allow anyone from getting anymore bandwidth at peak usage times. Respectively.
