My gateway also says i am at 3360, but that doesnt matter if i'm not actually downloading at that does it? About ur connection, install cablenut, and if u already have it, make sure u change the settings to 3.0MB
  2. Is it okay to have more than one tweak on ur computer at the same time? I have TCP optimizer and cablenut. Will these types of programs interfere with each other and ultimately slow my connection?
  3. I was wondering about that, i live in the middle of nowhere in a town of 2,500 on the water. But i am qualified for 3.0mb, i think there is a verizon building somewhere close but im not sure what it is. I must be a lucky one.
  4. Yeah man, that was difficult for me to see, I spent an hour trying to open ports for a p2p and a bit torrent program. Just go to services, and type in your port and press OK.
  5. yeah i think usb cable sends stuff slower than ethernet, thats why some people buy those gold usb cables, i have one for my printer.
  6. I was having some problems with my connection and couldn't connect to the internet, so i call verizon, and the technical person had me set my connection on my westell's hardware inside the gateway. Do u think this is worse or better than having just the regular network connection on my pc? But really i want to figure out why i really had to change to a connection on my router anyway. I would rather be able to see the info. in my control panel. When i try to connect the regular way without using my router's PPP, my connection in the control panel appears to be normal but it will display wierd numbers and i can't connect to the internet. Has anyone else encountered this before?
