Depends on what ya use it for, of course. I have Dell Inspiron 9300 a Pent. M 2.0 with 2 gigs 533 DDR2 a Nvidia 6800 with 256, 6 USB ports 1 firewire DVI, Analog, and S-Video out and a Intel 2915 wifi card. I can play Battlefield 2 with all video setting at High @ 1600x1200 res and Antialiasing at x4 and it is flawless. As to your calims of out performing your friends DELL what benchmark are you using? I personally will never get anything such as a Celeron or Sempron. I also am a heavy gamer and occasionally edit video. I believe the Celeron M is just a mobile version of the Celeron CPU which will have speed step technology and allow better battery time and less heat production. Chances are that you'll never get a Celeron or Sempron based system from a proprietory manufacturer with a good independant Video Card The new Dell Inspiron 9400 also under the 9300 section on there site now has a duel core processor and SATA HDD and a 7800 Video Card

Long time guys but I have a similar problem with BF2 also running Spec Forces Exp. Pack. I have an Inspiron 9300 w/ 2.0 Pent. M - 2 GB of Ram - Nvidia 6800 256Mb - Intel 2915 WiFi. I have been playing BF2 with under 70 ping for a while but lately, the last week, I have been getting spike as high as 1000+ and getting booted for having an average of 300+. I just recently have just done a fresh install and installed BF2 again and I get the same results. I have all programs off namely Antivirus and even Firewall except win firewall. I called Mediacom Cable and they say everything is fine. These stats are from a WiFi connection. I have also tried direct connect thru the modem as well. I think this all started when I installed the Expansion pack could this be the problem? I am currently defragging the HDD and tomarrow will go to a friends to see I still have the same problem. :::.. Ok Defragged HDD, uninstalled BF2 Spec. Forces, Turned on DMZ on my WRT54GX2 router and still my ping is 85, 125-1000 I am clueless. when I play PDZ on my 360 via LIVE I have no issues with lag???

Hey every one thanks for all your help, I uninstalled and cleaned the 80.40 Nvidia driver and reinstalled the Dell released 78.11. Guess what? No more memory error I also ran memtest for another 5.5 hours and no errors. now back to CS:Source

I just installed a new Kingston 533 DDR II 1 gig module into my Inspiron 9300 and I get this error message when I shutdown my computer can any one help me as to what this exec file belongs to and does this mean my ram is bad? I have since run Registry Mechanic 5.0 and repaired all files it recognized as in error and I also ran MemTest 86 for over 3 hours and came up with no errors on this single 1 gig module the other dimm is open. please help

At first I thought this game was total garbage. but after playing it again now that I have a gig of Ram it is really pretty cool. Plus, it takes a while to get used to the all new style of game play I will certainly buy this game. the only bummer is that is seems to require a powerful computer to run it which sucks cause most of my friends have slower pc's and notebooks which usually play all the RTS games anyhow. Hopefully the retail version won't need all that much power.

Ok I just got a Kingston 1gig DDR II 533mHz Dual Channel module for my Inspiron 9300. I am running Memtest86 on it right now and the test is in pass 3 test 7 and still no errors. How long am I supposed to run this test? Also The test screen says single channel, I thought this was Dual channel or do I hae to have another module with matching density for it to appear as dual channel?
