alright just off the hook with Dell again and I have got a PowerDVD disk coming soon My guess is that the OS (MCE 2005) needs to have this program. I did a fresh install of the OS and there is a cyberlink folder in the program files folder WEIRD. So I called Dell and told them I need a copy of cyberlink PowerDVD. well the disk is gona be here some time next week I'll update this thread as to the results. . . (2 hr's later) I just made some . . improvisions and quickly aquired powerdvd after installing it my problem is resolved. It automatically integrated into MCE 2005. I cant belive Dell didnt ship it with the 9300. Dell should know that people who order MCE OS back up disks are going to also need powerdvd or an DVD player that works with MCE. I never had this problem with any of my desktops that I built and they all have XP Pro. so this thread is solved and for any who have similar problems.

Ok I Just got this Dell 9300 and cleaned the HDD and reinstalled the OS and now I can not play DVDs w/ Media Player or in Media center Mode. ( ARGGGGG!!!!! Dell tells me I have buy software support for them to help me I Told them they disgusted me. I cant wait till laptop build parts are as readily available ATX formfactors are.) Any how I get this message when I try to play a DVD

counterstrike is still my fav. Mechassualt 2 on Xbox Live is truly awsome Halo 2 sucks I still love Halo every other thursday myself and around 15+ friends get together and have a barbeque followed up with football, hacky sack, frisbee, baseball, and when the sun is near setting we head in for some HALO 5 TVs (2 HDTV) and 5 Xbox Live. Battlefield 2 is also pretty cool but a little buggy but for a game of such scale it is great.

hey swimmer I have the Pentium M 760 with an small 512 mb on the Inspiron 9300 when I right click on the desktop it seems slightly slow to respond. I have not cleaned the HDD and reinstalled the OS, instead I simply uninstalled all the bloated software. is it really necessary to reinstall the OS? I do have the backup Medicenter disk cause I paid an extra $10 for it. and a drivers cd.

I have evidently installed a Nvidia Forceware 72.14 driver but it is not registering with windows. If the 9300 has an Nvidia Chipset then why cant I update the driver through nvidia? Lastly still do I have to use the driver for MCE after all MCE is XP right?

Ok I just got a Dell Inspiron 9300 w/ an 6800 gpu I went to Nvidia to update the driver cause the current driver was a 67.?? Nvidias sight referred me to the Forceware 72.14 But when I go to the desktop and right click - properties-settings-advanced-adapter-properties-driver it says I have driver 6.7.7.1. but when I use the Nvidia Geforce utility it says I am utilizing Forceware 72.14. Whats up am I suppose to install two drivers? one for XP and one for MCE 2005. I am confused.

I believe it has three cores running at 3.2 gHz each that 9.6 total. each core is more powerful than any single of the seven PS3 cores. It is backwards compatable the HDD hardware is required as it is what the emulation code will be on and microsoft will be releasing more emulation code for more Xbox games later for download.
