yea I played the demo on my PC w/ 512 mb of ram and I could play well but was not greatly impressed I am gonna just wait till it comes out on the 360, and or get the game when I build a new PC sometime next year when Longhorn is released

Many games recomend 1 gig of ram as it would also come in handy if editing video although you may only be using 200 of 512 mb of ram. However, when you get into battlefield 2 or any video editing software you will be impressed with more ram over a faster proc. and when your proc just dosent cut it any more get a new one and so on this is all supposing that ya'll have at least a 7200 rpm HD with an 8meg cache or greater yea, 128 mb is XP's min requirement. If you want to see perfomance always try to exceed recomended requirements

AOL sucks. why would you pay extra on top of your Broadband fees to browse with AOL? Security, that is what firewalls are for and some of those are free.

It is almost always cheaper to upgrade ram vs. a processor and the benefits are usually greater. Unless you have my PC I built it 3+ years ago I have a P4 2.26 533fsb w/ 512Mb of PC1066mHz Rambus. I could upgrade to a 2.8-3.0 w/ H.T. proc but it would cost near $500 to upgrade my ram to a gig. Rambus cost the same as it did 3 years ago. and beside my Mobo only supports 4x AGP. So if your in my shoes your screwed. But if you have DDR a 1 gig module runs for approx $100. Upgrade ram first and later when ya have the cash upgrade the CPU as prices will have dropped on that flag ship proc by then.

it took me roughly 3.5 hours to Download vista and the NFO file sais it will work for 30 days but there is some file out there to counter that it also recomends joining the msdn or the beta group, But how do I do that?

can we all use this beta seeing that we are all gona be using the same key? How long can we use the beta? Can we just upgrade or do we have start fresh? can you install Norton and Spybot? Even more importantly what about programs like DVDX COPY PRO and NERO? I hope these are'nt stupid questions.

What and we are to expect that FF will come as default browser on a microsoft machine doubtfull I like FF it seems to load pages faster and I like the tab thingy, but there are still things it cant do that IE has no problems with. I probably have to change some setting but who likes changing things around so you can browse the internet Fire fox is just not that much better.

I have an 19inch NEC MultiSync FE991sb my max res is 1792x1344 I have tried to max out the res but not only is everything rediculously small but also hardly readable and the refresh rate is really low. I have mine set to 1280x1024 @85Hz It is perfect.

Yes you can use it as a web cam. I almost bought the canon but opted for the fujifilm because it had a 6x optical zoom 3.2 megapixal is great. I take outstanding photos with mine and can even blow them up to about half the size of a poster and still see no graininess, or pixelation. Most Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm digi cameras are all great. $174 looks like a great deal. also when using a web cam your battery will die eventually make sure you buy a canon power supply cord. I bought some generic multi purpose adapter that eventually (after 6 mo.s) fried the circuitry in my camera and had to send it to fujifilm to be replaced.

been using Norton Internet security pro 2004 since uhhh 2004 and I dont have any problems with popups viruses worms trojans or spy ware. although it seems to be a bit of a resource hog as do many programs I guess.

Once again Microsoft realeases a power and resource hungry virus codenamed: vista. Min Direct x9 dedicated video card, 512Mb of ram preferably a dual core processor. Microsoft O/S are just resource hogs. Mac has had great looking reliable O/S for years
