  4. I actually get better overall speeds with TCP OPT than I do with Cable Nut, on my computer. There are many ppl that find it difficult to use CableNut , and if you use custom settings and tweak your RWIN receive and test with TCP analyzer it will suggest different settings.that you can enter. As ppl have said many times there is no one size fits all. Someone with VanBuren's expertise with CableNut is Superior to TCP OPT but its not something others can do as well. For most CableNut is a very time consuming strategy, I am pretty sure of one thing and thats using either one of these "tweaks" is much better than not using any. Often when I am helping a friend on the phone Iam reminded that they want the quick fix and not necessarily the right or best one. We are very lucky that we have more than one option and have ppl here that have different areas that they excel in, I believe it is one more reason that has helped make this a very popular site.......... And there is no doubt that VanBuren has made his version of CableNut into an art form.,.. Microwave

  9. junkieXL, Yep a D- for sentence structure but I give em an A+ for effort they don't give up, sad thing is I have sent dozens of these emails to Banks, Pay-Pal and everyone else and I have never gotten an email back to say they were looking into it or that they even cared. I have even answered and put B.S. in the fill in the blanks and the phishers never contacted me either... Its like the one that ppl got a while back from Africa talking about needing help to get an inheritance I have answered 2or 3 of them saying I was willing to help "Praise Allah" and those clowns never answered either..... so why do they all just waste their time.... 21. Yeah I have a paid McAfee latestest version that I removed because it slowed down my connection a lot, my speeds increased over 1000 Kbps after I removed Mac (tech support was no help, but it was free..L0L)keep the McAfee if you want but get the firewall and adAware and run everything and in the meantime I will post a link to the place you can start. Also after you down load these things if I may suggest disconnect from the internet(unplug) until after all is installed and run also do a complete virus scan.......... Microwave
