Yep thats a good trick....unless you move the problem with ya.... L0L I have used this many times and even moved the main files one at a time until I found the problem.....most of the time now I just format... its lazy but faster then finding the problem.... L0L The only thing I do different is save everything to Cd's or whatever and make new account

Its very common for ISP's to block ports, I have read many different reasonsbut none of them make any sense to me..If I want to except pings(which I dont) it is none of the providers business, I run my computer in stealth mode.It is possible as we all know to accept a ping and still keep your computer "safe"... below is a link that will test your firewall and or computer and let you know if you are vulnerable. I'm sure many are familiar with this site but for those that aren't here it is..

Yeah but I thought ppl wanted to listen to songs in the order they wanted, dont most ppl wanna hear certain songs like on the way to work or cruising? Here is an artical that I was surprized to read that this is how this thing works.... Am I missing something is this acceptable to ppl? If I cant play my tunes in the order I want whats the use? SeanHatesHisComp Welcome to the site I hope you will enjoy...Your RWIN needs to be corrected from the DSL report, Also I am assuming that you followed the suggestions about spyware ...etc ? Try the link below if you haven't already please... You will probally still have to call your ISP, as Swimmer said the first 2 hops are in trouble and if you have power cycled (recycle L0L) the modem and you are connected directly from the modem to your NIC card (no router...etc) everything else can be ruled out(almost) good luck and keep visiting and tell your friends about TESTMY.NET........ CA3LE ty for refreshing my RAM, I now remember being on the site right b4 you lost the data and it was a few months b4 you came back. Thats why the records only go back to the first part of 2003. I remember asking when I signed up the second time why I had to do that and you told me the story..... No shizz this site has really grown and gotten cooler the more time that goes by. It is kinda strange that some of the ppl that visited a lot back then dont come around anymore.... oh well their loss, it is funny to look at some of the old pics and at the time it was cutting edge but now it looks really old....L0L amazing how not only graphics but site design and everything across the board has gotten so much better....Once again thanks for allowing US to have so much fun with an idea you had so long ago.... Anything is possible but I think this is highly unlikely, first the algorithms would be easily identified and stopped, there would also be several layers of protection along the way to not allow a virus to propagate itself...... WHY ya thinking about sending a Trojan or worm or something??? L0L jk

jim2006, A good place to start is go to the archives and look at the oldest post and work this way,I think in August 2003 the older format was changed, I was the 13 member to join and I think VanBuren came a couple of months after me and then Swimmer came right after that. You will find all kinds of info just looking around, I'm sure CA3LE has some old pics of the test window and I'll look also......it has changed several times always a better look. I think your right lots of ppl would find it interesting....good idea

Its an old hack that I dont think works on many machines anymore....
