cholla, That was the coolest game I ever played at the time, it was a big deal everyone wanted it and wanted to play the games, I cant remember the name of the particular game but I remember going down a path and when you got close you could hear a snake rattling and it got me so friggen nervous that I would get caught most of the time, but for the time the graphics and style was way ahead of its time..... and BTW as I'm sure you remember it was big bucks and ppl were saying guys that bought and played these games were insane.... Yeah my IP changed a couple of times with COX~HSI in Tucson but not for a long time I think its been about a year since the last time it changed. Im not sure but I think the last time it changed was due to me messing with it by renewing the IP addy and using the utility below but , Im not even sure if thats what caused it or not..... Don't ever feel that way, I'll tell ya a secret no one was born knowing all this stuff, and I bet you know lots of things that me and many other ppl don't know, thats the way the world works, as you know.... so please don't think that or put yourself down....... you bring a lot to the site and thats what counts..... This will bring varied opinions....lol, its been my experience that cable provides the best overall way to be on the Internet......I do believe a lot depends on the company that you have service with, generally cable will be much faster than dsl, again a lot may depend on your ISP, one of the many advantages of cable is you don't have to be close to a C. O., a down side can be a lot of ppl in your neighborhood having and using the connection can slow things down. IMO cable is much easier to tweak in that when I first hooked up a new system (default) to cable I made one tweak using TCP Optimizer and over doubled my speed, and really thats all that was necessary for me. I have COX~HSI and for over 2years I have had very few system related problems..... my friend pays $25 per month for DSL and I pay $39.95, but my speeds are over double his and he is on the phone often with tech support, and has changed modems 3times and had a tech out 3 times in about 1year, and has frequent crashes.......and cable will most probally cap your monthly downloading fun.....but its not something I use.... good luck Microwave

GRISOFT AVG Free Edition is a good one Panda is OK, there are many Free AV pgms to choose from and ppl have different ideas as to what they want to do, I'm looking for a post here where we talked about this some time ago, but I would do this just how you are doing by asking other ppl what they use or reccomend..... good luck and tells us what you go with and how you like it if you don't mind..... What CA3LE gives us to download IMO is much better than many sites, getting something random is the best way. There are a number of sites that give the same images to download each time which is not a good idea..... Thats just one more reason that TESTMY.NET..... rox0rs. Microwave

As far as the legal issue, you are assuming they are breaking the law and that may no be so. A company like Blockbuster for instance pays a fee to make copies and rent the movie out. Now for the sake of discussion if they are not paying and are breaking the law, how this is done is one typical scenario a company is incorporated in another country ( or offshore) and then sets up several "shell" companies to hide true ownership. If the time comes when the company gets sued they take the money and run, or its not unusual that the officers of the company just pay a fine because they didn't break the law the corporation broke the law, and its hard to put a company in jail....LOL....but essentially that is how its done and there are many variations of this theme.... OBTW they give some shyster lawyer a fat check so he will instruct them on how to skirt the laws, and many countries don't honor our intellectual property rights... Hmmmmm thats not a bad scam.....
