well i could connect fine, and get about my correct speed it would just disc over night / long periods of not using it

well comcast came to my house an hour ago and he told me the signal is too strong and that can cause problems so theyre gonna fix it at the box some time. in the week probably tomorrow

i just chatted with a linksys tech and he had me change my mtu size to 1400 to stop random disconnects. i guess well see if it works

seems like atleast once a day my internet disconnects when im not watching/home and it's become really annoying. a comcast tech had me check my power settings for my network card it was set to shut it off so i changed it to never shut off but i still have this problem and no one seems to know why. ive scanned for viruses/spyware and i have none this really has me stumped any help is appreciated

you do know. that for 3.0 mb/s 295/kb's download speed is Exactly what it should be. your not going to get 3.0/sec .. no one gets that its 10% of that. would = like 300. so 295 is fine.

i use azureus with comcast. and it works like a dream. if you are uploading near your limit. you will "choke" your connection. so if you need to reduce it some do so in the settings.
