Just got my new 15 Mbps Fios, running at less than 10 Mbps

OK, lets get something straight. Does DSL not use the old copper going into a house already? And cable has to run all new? I am a bit confused here. -

Don't I know it. I really think DSL tries the hardest though. (yeah I know, they have an advantage) But at least they do try. -
It simply won't plug in, or it won't come on?

That was a very interesting twist on Geometry, Time and Dimension. Thanks you.

Nice speeds CamaroGuy, glad to hear that.

Gotta love this. Major screw up. From Jim http://www.zianet.com/tedmorris/dg/bombers4.html I see attachments are still screwed up as well. Maybe that crew could help.

Now we have established that you do not undertstand it. Have it. Want it. But you do recieve it anyway. Are not asked anything for it. And it is costing you absolutely nothing for it. Here is something I got in my e-mail. Perfect for this. Please take a minute out of your busy life to stop and read this. > > > The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, > I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. > My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, > My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. > Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, > Transforming the yard to a winter delight. > The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, > Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve. > My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, > Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. > In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, > So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. > > The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, > But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear. > Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the > sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow. > My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, > And I crept to the door just to see who was near. > Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night, > A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight. > > A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, > Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold. > Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled, > Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child. > "What are you doing?" I asked without fear, > "Come in this moment, it's freezing out here! > Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve, > You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!" > > For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift, > Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts.. > To the window that danced with a warm fire's light > Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right, > I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night." > "It's my duty to stand at the front of the line, > That separates you from the darkest of times. > No one had to ask or beg or implore me, > I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me. > My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December," > Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers." > My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam', > And now it is my turn and so, here I am. > I've not seen my own son in more than a while, > But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile. > > Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag, > The red, white, and blue... an American flag. > I can live through the cold and the being alone, > Away from my family, my house and my home. > I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet, > I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat. > I can carry the weight of killing another, > Or lay down my life with my sister and brother.. > Who stand at the front against any and all, > To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall." > > "So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright, > Your family is waiting and I'll be all right." > "But isn't there something I can do, at the least, > "Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast? > It seems all too little for all that you've done, > For being away from your wife and your son." > Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret, > "Just tell us you love us, and never forget. > To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone, > To stand your own watch, no matter how long. > For when we come home, either standing or dead, > To know you remember we fought and we bled. > Is payment enough, and with that we will trust, > That we mattered to you as you mattered to us." > > PLEASE, Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many > people as you can? I am not sure if this explains it any more, but they are also doing this for your and yours also.

They might give you free service for a while. Or lower bill a bit. About all though.
-
What is your advertised speed ktest. What speeds they offered you when you joined.
-
That one might be your distance. One is NY the other is Texas.
-
Looks legit. Why not, that is peanuts for the advertising.
-
So does this also mean we need to stop farting?? Or just start lighting them?
-
OK, are not runnning your scans in safe mode. It takes 2 hours per program on some of them alone for me. And you have cleaned out your registry Disk clean up.
-
You totally got me there. And really I have tried to find current ones before and failed myself. So I never posted them. I wish someone did keep current on them though. Really. It would help folks make educated decisions. And yours is 36 mo. free? Not going to ask how, but good deal. I still prefer AVG though. I give up, it appears as always. Any searching I do for the review seems to come up with someone wanting to sell theirs.

If I am not mistaken, I read somewhere that cutting grass was very good for eating up CO2. Something about early growth in plant life being the very most important time in the whole life cycle for us and them. They consume a much larger amount of CO2 early in their growth. Like cutting your grass will cause the grass to consume more CO2 also during it's quick growth time. Which is right after it is cut. Mature plant life uses very little by comparison. Just my thoughts. "SO CUT YOUR GRASS" often and high. Ok I had a link on it somewhere, but I am not energetic enough to find it tonight.

Man that 10/2 would be a dream. Can't blame you Sparticus, and damn reasonable.

Am I the only one that noticed how old the results were ?? AVG is now using the 7.5, not the 7.1 ! And it is still free! And McAffee is what, $40 for one year? I am sure McAffee is fine. And you can also get a 2 year subscription for $40 plus a firewall with AVG.

Let me help explain something here ITALIAN_GUY_22, anytime you pass 500% ... "Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 672.24 % faster than the average for host (net.au) " ...you have cached results. And posting those everywhere will do no good. So just clear out your temporary files and test again next time. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum Tenchi Sorry to hear you had problems. Hope it gets better.

So, I wonder if it is working yet. Nope, no attachments yet.

It sounds best to contact your ISP. Maybe you are not configured properly. That might be all it is. You know, the settings from them or something like that.

Not sure what to say. In order to run an honest shop I would fix it for free. In order to be open tomorrow and make some profit, I would charge the minimum charge I have. It is still a business.
