You got to disable the onboard video in Bios so why wouldn't work?

Have tried removing it from Add and Remove Programs? If not go ahead and remove it and it will automatically reinstall IE7!

Did you get IE8 from an Update or did you download it and install it?

Have you tried to right click the sound icon and then playback devices next right click the vacant area and click what you need to make them appear. And set the headphones as default. Good luck!

There really is not that much difference between the two. Most drivers are geared for 32 bit. Most if not just about all programs are 32 bit. I'm using 64 bit Windows 7 and the X86 program file folder has 3 time more programs listed in it than the 64 bit folder. So stay with what you have for another few years until 64 bit programming picks up. Hope this helps in your decision.
