  1. You should be able to do a lot better than that. You can download cablenut, or TCPoptimizer from this site to tweak your settings. Just go to the top of your screen under misc. tools and click tweak guide. Whatever you decide make sure before you apply your settings that you backup you registry. If your pc is new enough you can use the system restore program. If not you can just export it from the registry to a file that you create. Hope this helps, and good luck!! Welcome to the forum.
  2. I guess he got just what he deserved. :haha:
  3. Yea, I have been spending a lot of time on here as well. I do it to stay caught up with the times and make friends. Like I said earlier I work on mainly HVAC so I don't get to play with computers all day and stay sharp. So, I have to get on the net to stay caught up. Van even got on to me for spamming which I didn't mean to do! Sorry Van. Anyway I forgot, I have a little one as well. He is into everything. (A holy terrr) lol
  4. What you mean it isn't. Darn and I allready told everyone that it was true.
  5. Anyone now of any plans to roll out FIOS in Georgia? Cause I want it now!! Great speeds! Welcome to the Forum Koncrete.
  6. When I burn I notice that it uses a lot of system resources. What OS are you running? There are several options for speeding it up a bit. You can turn off unneeded services, disable unneeded programs from loading, defragment, etc. It just frees up more ram so that it doesn't have to use virtual memory. Try these and if you still need help ask. Hope this helps.
  7. What day did you make the changes. It took a few days for my changes to really set in. What speeds are you subscribed to. If you are subscribed to the 6Mbps download then you are allready getting 237 Kbps over your cap. Thats great. If you just made the changes give it a few days. They will probably get a little better.
  8. Dark06 is right. It is definately cached. Delete cookies, temp files, temp internet files, and try again.
  9. Wait until you gt into the security class. That was fun for me as well.
  10. Never thought I'd see the day! I guess they finally got tired of being second. Now instead of one shelf of software they may get 2. Maybe even three. lol
  11. That's great. I hope they roll in an upgrade for me sometime soon.
  12. Finally, after much tweaking!! It takes a while but I got the hang of it. Thanks for all the knowledge fellows.

  14. I've never tried InternetFrog so I can't say for sure. You can contact IF though and see where the server is located to give you a better idea.
  15. It also depends on how close you are to the test server. I agree with RTB testmy.net is usually more accurate for me too.
  16. Sorry bout that Van. Will change. Done.
  17. I wasn't trying to prove you wrong, just trying to come off on a lighter note. Not trying to offend!
