    You know what, and I feel like a complete tard now! lol,,,, I was looking at the damn thing wrong, I was comparing the Kbps to Kb/s DUhh, I did not even look what was written there, some puter expert I am! lol........

    My speeds are not all that bad, I dont think I am going to get too much better then they already are, I have had better but I am on the east coast and I thought Horizons 1 was for a 1.2 meter dish, not the standard D-way oliptical dish? any one know more about that?

    Had faster, signal strength is 61 today, normaly around 65 to 75...

    I am curious to know something, on direcways website before you sign up for this junk you will see and I quote

    DIRECWAY speeds are based on download speeds of up to 500Kbps. Stated speeds not guaranteed.

    So who has ever seen speeds like this, now if you read the above, its not some lame "connection speed" its a download speed.

    I have not been with them very long, in fact I just had my first bill, but up until now I have never seen 500Kbps.

    Anyone fill me in on this? please post your highest speed and let me know the max you have ever hit.

    Mospeed - I cant remember what tweak it was i tried but it did the same thing to me, I could not access any secure sites or sites that required you to log in.

    But what i can tell you is that i reloaded my DirecWay software, ran the web setup and it fixed the problem. I must have removed something by accident that caused the same problem you are having.

    I guess your using the DW4000, not sure what the other guy is running, never thought to ask, I am running the all wonderful speed deamon DW6000, lets post these stats so we know what we are talking about.

    R U getting an error message by any chance? connection refused or something like that?

    I was told by a towel head to use this in the proxy settings https 66.250.69.2 port 81

    I dont use it myself so I cant tell you if it works or not.

    Moving server

    Sorry but I have canceled my order with allmanaged.com - I put a request to order a new server with them over 5 days ago and they have yet to get the server online.  I even placed my order again 3 days ago and still no server.  I called 4-5 times and nobody answers the phone so I have decided I don't want to do business with them.

    Currently looking for an alternative.  I will keep this thread updated.

    Let me know what your looking for, ie space and bandwidth, might be able to help you out! if I cant I may know someone that does.

    I have quite a bit of space and bandwidth left.
