This is found in DirecWays aggrement..... So in reality, they broke there agrrement correct?

I just got my May 1st to May 31st bill, to my suprise they are now taxing me! oh yes, they never did before so I got on the phone.....

The guy I talked to could not and would not give me an answer, I have an online business and I live in the state of WV witha 6% sales tax.

Heres the good part, I can only charge people that live in WV that 6.00% sales tax, if a customer orders from Texas, I am not legaly by law allowed to charge the 6.00% tax because I never made the sale in Texas! get my drift? the customer did not travel to WV from texas to make the purchase. its whats called a LOOP hole, the government are looking into this as we speak.

So I asked, how could they tax me, he said because they are nationwide, I told him they are in Maryland so how could they be nationwide, he informed me that they have installers all over the country, I told him they are not employed by dway, they are third party...... He went quite on me... then told me I would need to talk to my local tax office.

So I did, they told me that I can now start to charge people in the 50 US states a sales tax of 6.00, but at this time it is not mandatory to do so...... So how comes DWAY gets to charge us?

You may need to look at your bills and talk with your state tax office to find this out.

The thing that pissed me off is, DWAY at no point contacted me and told me this was going to happen, I thought you had to inform customers that there prices are going to change well in advance?????

Wouldn't it be a good idea to check my stats and verify WHERE they come from before making blind allegations? Blinded by hate for DirecWay is usually  counter productive as you can see below..

I did not point any blind allegations at anyone, I stated that I could not beleive you was using anything other then dways test results, because no one on here gets the results using direcway! APART FROM YOU, now if you actualy posted your results with the information that is provided by testmy.net, it would have made sence.

Now if you are getting them speeds you would like to inform us how, maybe you would like to answer my question in my previous post? ARE YOU USING A RESIDENTIAL OR A BUSINESS PLAN??????

276 up ? your talking connection speed, and that is not even right, dont tell me your using DWAYS website to get this information right?

Can anybody post about getting credit for non working/slow DirecWay service? Has anybody ever received a credit, refund of any kind?

Yes, my service was out for 2 weeks on and off, the gave me a $25 credit, or so they say, I have not seen the bill yet!

You guys got to learn to quit bashing DirecWay so much. it may not be the best thing available but it is all you got right now except dial up. If something else was available than i am sure you would switch if you are so inclined. If you are having a problem than sure you have a right to complain but when everything is running as expected than why complain nobody likes to here people complain all the time and all the complaining will not make your speeds any faster.

I have been very happy with the service provided by DirecWay. My DW4000 has consistently given me 1.5 Mbps down and is better than DW advertises. Don't get me wrong though i am planning on jumping ship ASAP to cable now that it is available.

I got an idea here! why dont you trade your 4000 in for a 6000, then come back in a day or two and we will see what your attitude towards dway is like?

Everyone knows that a 4000 has better download speeds and upload speeds compared to a 6000, I would be happier with a 4000 too, and I am sure others would like a 4000, truth is, some of us got ripped off, I personaly PAID $700 just for the equipment and install, I have had nothing but problems with it since.

The lied to me when I was asking them questions before I bought it, the told me 500 down and 50 up, yes I see more then 500 down most days, but never ever have I seen 50 up, I will be lucky to see 15 most days, the average is 7.5 for me, and I know that is better then some get.

Now really, if no one like to hear people bitchin about dway, you have options, just like life, you have options, one you can ignore these posts seeing as yours was not too helpful, 2 you can stay out of the forum becuase its always been like this since the arrival of the dway forum, and 3 you could be more constructive and try to help people with issues rather then in words telling them to be quite, we have our rights and one of them rights is the freedom of speech.

Hello everyone. This is my first time here. I'm having DirecWay installed on Wednesday. I'm just hoping to do better than the 17 kb's I get now. I've suffered through this for 10 years. I really hate the idea of paying so much. Is there any pointers I may need in regards to when they install it.

Hey all: I don't know this or I wouldn't ask what about a big dish like a 10 foot dish? I know some people still use these for TV .How would they work for a satellite connection?

I should imagine it would work pretty well, but you would have a hard time lineing the sucker up I would think? most of them dishes have the LNB in the center of the dish, most smaller ones these days are ofset to the dish to get more gain in the center I beleive, so the azimuth would change right?

WTF, everytime I try to respond to something here I am getting this " Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again." I d log out then back in again and it does it over and over.

Limewire has always worked great for me. Power cycling the modem usually works to get things back on track if that happens though. Just unplug the dw6000 for a few minutes and plug it back in.

Personaly I dont like to power off using the cord, you will damage the unit or PSU at some point......

I use this and would advise anyone else to use this software proggy, works just as good...

This file is clean of viruses, but you should check it just in case.... Scanned with Norton Anti-Virus Corp Edition....

Man, when did that happen? not been around for a while because my system was down for repair, yes! finaly got it done..... signal is worse then it used to be but its working and no water in the LNB.

And dial up is not an option either...... most of us have the dish for the same reason, unlike most of the US some of us live in the boonies and have no option, when I moved to where I live I did not have TV for 1 year until I got a Dish, my phone line runs some 5 miles to our so called local exchange and I used to get a whooping 19,000k connection and had that for 5 years, the way the internet is going these days it used to take forever just to open a webpage up.

So at this present time, Direcway is certainly the only way I can go until my local cable company or phone company gets their heads out of their butts!

And I am sure most other Direcway users feel the same way

I am sorry if I sounded harsh, but look at it from my point of view, I pay a lot of hard earned cash to use this junk and I dont need someone that has cable telling me I should get rid of Direcway if I had any other choice, I DONT!!!!! and I took offence to that.
