I've tried a D-link. It was ok, but then I got VoIP from cox and I have to use the default modem. I really like the linksys cable modem gateway it looks real nice. Anyone tried it?

Hmm, don't think that i've heard of that program before is it default on Windows XP home edition? If it's not I haven't downloaded it. If you're using any tweaks could you send them to me or post them? Thanks.
Well if the signal reads ok id say its the modem or it could still be the cable try hooking the modem up to a different cable and then see how long it connects
Ah, you do live in the same city
Do you live in texas like where your server is? I'm asking because when I do a speed test based in my city I get 11-12 all the time.
Yes, I have to agree with you. I used to get very accurate readings on testmy now it seems my readings can range from 3-12 Seems like on speedtest.net and speakesy servers I get a VERY accurate reading.
Well from the way you talk you sound like your somewhere in Europe. If you are using servers 1 and 2 those are in Texas, USA. Try a server in your area.
Ah, I have finally found a solution to not using a router! Add pcs to your modem with Cox! It's great and I get WAY!!!! better speeds. So now i use a switch. (linksys EZXS55w)
