how did you uninstall QoS? did you do it in gpedit.msc or did you uncheck it next to your TCP/IP protocol in your LAN properties? also try 100 Mbps full duplex, but all recomendations ive seen, says to use Half duplex directly to a modem and only FULL duplex if your using a router. VanBuren

hey YepperZ and welcome to the forum follow these steps https://testmy.net/topic-2097 VanBuren

Disable QoS packet scheduler, if you connect your PC to a router, then use 100 Mbps full duplex on your NIC, and if you connect direct to modem use Auto, or try 10 or 100 Mbps half duplex for Cable. VanBuren

i used to run dual boot win 98 and xp, and runned NTFS and XP on c: and FAT32 on D: with win 98 win 98 cant read NTFS and the partition never showed up when i runned 98. so i figure i format c: to FAT 32 and reinstall XP on that. plugged in win 98 bootdisc and clouldnt find the NTFS partition it found the d: that i have win 98 installed on, reporting that as c: so i installed Partition magic on win 98 and formated it from that, somehow that program found it VanBuren

100Mbps Forced=Faster Speed for me!!!
VanBuren replied to Indestructable's topic in Show off your speed
cool do you use 100 Fullduplex or half duplex? and do you connect via a router to your cablemodem? VanBuren -
have you manual set duplex on your NIC Indestructable? if you connect directly to a Cablemodem, then use Halfduplex and if you use a router, use full duplex to the router. for dsl its diffrent, some dsl connections are full duplex i suggest to use Auto if you dont have a problem with speed VanBuren

hey RiverWar the Nitro uploadtest is abit off, running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 402.53Kb/s i dont think you go above cap upstream, i seen a few more that show inaccurate scores on upload from that test also this is off defaultreceivewindow 100740 and this tcpwindow 256960 anyways, i would like you to test this file, its Version 3 that i modifyed the TcpWindowsize ( there will be a version 4 soon cos i rebuild them as soon as i see a pattern ) open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks + save to registry now the adjuster suppose to be blank load this file i attach and click save to registry again ( its build for 4400 but probl work well for 4000 too, if not i will adjust it for ya ) reboot and check speed but up and down, use the 2992 KB test down and 1492 KB test up good luck VanBuren

try this, reload the version 3 tweak 3000 256 and change these TcpWindowSize to 64240 GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize to 64240 Tcp13230pts to 0 now click save to registry make a new speedtest, use the 2992 KB test downstream and 1492 KB test upstream VanBuren

you need cablenut to increase upload.... try this download and install Cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 download this attached file and unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry now in top left corner click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubble click on the file you unzipped now you have a few values in adjuster, click save to registry again and reboot your pc make a new speedtest up and down, use 2992 KB test download and 2992 KB test upload also make a tweaktesta again and post result URL adress good luck VanBuren
-
you get more then you pay for downstream lets try to fix your upload, you need cablenut for that.... download and install Cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 download this attached file and unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry now in top left corner click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubble click on the file you unzipped now you have a few values in adjuster, click save to registry again and reboot your pc make a new speedtest up and down, use 2992 KB test download and 1492 KB test upload also make a tweaktesta again and post result URL adress good luck VanBuren

The things that i like most with Cablenut is that you can tweak AFD buffers, and like i said before adjust files to diffrent amount of bandwidth and MTU, MSS values to fully take a adventage of AFD buffertweak you need SP2, with AFD buffers you can tweak your upload, no other tweakprogram can do that http://www.broadbandnuts.com/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=3126 if you have a slow upload you probl reach 90% of 128, 256, 384, 512 Kbps with TCP optimizer, but its rare to see ppl with 768 Kbps + reach 90% of their uploadspeed without using cablenut.
