you have a very high ping to the US and will never reach your capped speed but your settings is wrong.... If you have TCP optimizer program installed, i suggest to delete it....... download http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe open Dr.TCP and where you see adaptersettings, erase any value set in MTU boxes and click apply. Install cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 Open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks + save to registry reboot your pc and do a new speed and tweaktest VanBuren

also run this test http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks and copy result URL adress, then paste it here so we can see it VanBuren

"By SUN ONLINE REPORTER A GRANDMOTHER got into a sticky situation when she confused her eye drops with superglue. Terry Horder, 78, was rushed to hospital after reaching for the medicated drops in her fridge and getting the super-strength glue instead. Nurses then used vegetable oil to try to remove the glue, which had fused Mrs Horder's eyelashes together and seeped under the lids. "There was a pool of glue against the eyeball itself but lucky it couldn't dry because of the water on the eye," Mrs Horder said. "They soaked my eyes for around five minutes and then tried to prise the lashes apart, which wasn't pleasant. "But about 10 minutes later I was good as new," said the granny from Wurtulla, Australia." http://www.fz.se/wtf/view.php?linkid=1245 VanBuren

UDP is User Datagram Protocol: a unreliable, connectionless transport protocol which works over Internet Protocol UDP is used in streaming and games, that dosent need handshakes TCP protocol shake hands every time you send a packet, the reciver must send you acknowledgepacket that he recived that packet, if the reciver didnt get the packet , the sender has to resend it. as you probl understand this prosess takes time, and also needed of that worthless data overhead . try google, there are alot of info about how these protocols works VanBuren

hey MICROWAVE i was also very sceptical to SP2 for a while, i did a online installation and it work good pc is just abit slower, but i think its more likely a matter of hardware hehe I followed this subject in some other forums and the ppl that use the CD version including SP2 thinks it work great. Next time i reinstall XP i will try a cd version with SP2, if im lucky it might bring up the speed VanBuren

What is Adelphia Powerlink's basic speed?
VanBuren replied to SamUnreal's topic in Make it Faster...
yea there is nothing more to tweak, try updating your Networkcard drivers and if you using a router, use latest firmware also try changing the LAN cable between your modem and router or pc VanBuren -
aslong you dont use 10 Mbps bandwidth, 100Mbps is not faster the only reason it shows faster is of the dynamic TcpWindowSize like i said in my previous post VanBuren

What is Adelphia Powerlink's basic speed?
VanBuren replied to SamUnreal's topic in Make it Faster...
that was odd, your setting is in the right range for 3 Mbps,..... you can try using the Cable & DSL 2000 256.ccs file instead it has a lower RWIN, and if this dosent bring up your speed, then its a problem with hardware or your ISP net. follow the steps in my previous post and choose Cable & DSL 2000 256 instead Edit: also check these steps https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=605.0 VanBuren
