Cablenut team has made a 56k tweakfile, i dont know how it works but trying it wont harm VanBuren
-
hey Guardian and welcome to the forum i checked your testscores and you get 420 Kbps down and abit over 200 kbps up, thats kinda good, remember your overseas anyway, you can try the tweak guide if you like to https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013.0 good luck VanBuren
-
I made a cablenut file for you, open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry now in top left corner click file, load custom settings file, browse to this file and open it click save to registry again reboot your pc good luck VanBuren
-
delete the whole value, why doing it the hard way via registry when you can use cablenut? VanBuren
-
it can impact on downloadspeed for some ppl, try a smaller value and see if it helps. VanBuren

i think it was down, i had same problem myself also i couldnt connect with firefox, when it was up again, only IE worked, so i PM CA3LE about it and he said i had to clear cache in Firefox it worked VanBuren
-
tnx MICROWAVE Well this should work for most connections but DW is so special to tweak so you never know how this end hehe Cablenut is great for this and the only tweak program that allow to tweak uploadspeed, also it dosent mess up any registrys VanBuren
-
If you dont know the cap you can assume a value, eg 384 Kbps = 384/8 = 48 KB/s now take 48x1024 = 49152 all values in decimal VanBuren
-
I can see your on Direct Way and i know upload will never be great, if you have win XP/2000 you can try increasing Default Send Window in cablenut program, make sure its multiple with 1024, the default value is 8192 but a value 1024x(your upload cap in KB/s) works best for most ppl, i dont know with DW.. I cant see a score, also what cap you have whats this poll about? VanBuren

hey 11011100 and welcome to the forum I dont know what those errors mean but, have you tried with another LAN cable from your modem? Or tried with another pc? Did the tech try your modem with a laptop? VanBuren

I agree this is sick lol, what would i do with all that bandwidth anyway? My slow pc can barely handle 10 Mbps hehe this is good for competition, this will force other ISP to follow on or cut price RTB, thx for the warning, i will get a machinegun before i post some gibabit scores here then VanBuren
-
I hope my ISP will follow this up , a ISP in Lund, Sweden offer 1 Gbps to homes for around 100 USD/ month i havent found a article written in english yet, but here is one in Swedish http://www.labs2.com/pr/press2004113001.html I guess they wanted to introduce this before Japan did, asfar as i know Yahoo BB in Japan will offer 1 Gbps during spring 2005. VanBuren
-
yea its dern nice, but ISP dosent offer it to new customers anymore, i think its cos its more expensive setting up then adsl the adsl is 24 Mbps down and only 1 Mbps up. VanBuren

hey riprap and welcome to the forum the speed you get with dsl is depending on how far away from the CO you live (accesspoint where your copper end) and also quality of wiring. this is the qwest averages here https://testmy.net/host_stats.php?host=qwest.net¬boolean=1 hope this help abit VanBuren

the option Default Send window is only avalible in windows XP and 2000 VanBuren
-
Sweet speed  VanBuren
-
The setting that you can boost your upload with is Default Send window, set it to 1024x (your upload cap in KB/s) if it dosent help much, try a smaller value, just make sure its multiple with 1024. good luck VanBuren btw nice download speed
-
my isp has vdsl full duplex, 12 Mbps down and 9 Mbps upstream VanBuren
-
not bad at all if you like to tweak upload sometime, try cablenut program and change Default Sendwindow. make it 1024x your upload cap in KB/s https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013.0 VanBuren
