Very nice If you open adjuster and in top left corener click file, save custom settings file, you can save that current setup and upload it here so other DW 6000 users also can test it. VanBuren

Hey DJ In version 2 files Default Recive Window is set to default, the main speedtweak is on TCP window size and Default Send Window. I suggest to use my custom file and only adjust Default Send window to a value that give you a upload close to your cap if uploadspeed affect download speed too much eg on fileshare programs and so on, try setting the Send value lower, just make sure its multiple with 1024. The default Send window is 8192. good luck VanBuren

Oh then you probl dont have a screwed registry after all But that NOC pc seems to have some very strange setup... alteast you do know you have windows default settings now after the format, and dont tweak it again, if all is depending on the NOC setup your windows settings will be just fine. VanBuren
-
Yes but you cant format c: while you running it. atleast as far as i know. VanBuren

The easyest way is to change boot sequense so you can boot from cdrom, you have to do it in BIOS. When you start your pc, hold down del (delete) key and then you come to BIOS, search for boot sequense and change first boot device from floppy to cdrom, then click save, (in my bios F10) and exit, now make sure you have xp cd in your cdrom and follow instructions. EDIT: when the install has come to the point where it ask what partition you like to install it on choose to delete c: first, then choose make a new partition in unpartioned space, that will format the c: before you install it. good luck VanBuren

yes it will, you need to reinstall win XP, cos your registry is messed up. I ask you again, did you or did you not follow the steps above? VanBuren
-
if you followed those steps....... and still get those result backup all you want to save to another partition or burn a cd then go to start-run type format c: and hit enter VanBuren
-
Follow these instructions exacly...... 1. delete TCP optimizer program, and never use it again 2. Download Dr.TCP http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe save it at your desktop 3. open it and where you see MTU field, delete all values for all adapters so all fields is blank, click save and exit. 4. open cablenut adjuster click delete cablenut tweaks + click save to registry 5. reboot your pc do a new tweak test and post URL again VanBuren

Thats all messed up, nothing is correct lol like i said, restore your registry..... VanBuren

You are and will always be limited by the cap, however, there is some ways to get alot of burst but i dont recommend to use it regular, well to showoff at a speedtest i guess its ok I played aroud with large RWIN
-
ok i made a burst file for a MTU of 1480, try this one VanBuren
-
is there a MTU setting in your router/modem ? If so set it to 1492, cos you running at 1480 now. VanBuren
-
yes you can restore your registry if you have a backup... to get burst: also, plug your router in again and use the file BBB_VDSL 12000 9000 in ProgramCablenutvanburens_cablenut_settings_version_2VanBurens cablenut settings Version 2WinXP_2K_CABLE_DSLMSS1452 folder VanBuren

my route is pretty much the same, no matter of what time i do a tracert. Im not blaming the server, im just saying that the speed drop when alot of users testing. If a node is very busy and make my speed drop, shouldnt that be seen in the tracert then? VanBuren
-
you dont have to click at that if you dont like to VanBuren
-
buy 512 MB more RAM and you will be fine, i used to have 768 MB and game runned alot smooter then it does now on 512 MB. if i check log, i have a memory usage of over 500 MB while playing............. THat result in XP using viritual memory from your hardrive instead, and that slow you down even more. VanBuren
-
hey again Fred, MTU is back on track now try this file, it should give you a more optimal RWIN just open adjuster and click load custom settings file, dont forget to click save to registry good luck VanBuren
