  2. my guess is a problem with modem/router try bypass your router and connect direct to modem via ethernet also run a linequality test at http://www.dslreports.com/tools "Line Packet Loss Testing Packet loss tests on your line, including identification of any problem routers en-route to you.." VanBuren
  3. * Open Control Panel. * Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections. * Identify the icon for your cable modem connection: usually Local Area Connection. * Right-click that icon and select Properties. VanBuren
  4. seems good downstream, but upstream seems off for me i even got error on upload from some of the servers.... VanBuren
  5. it will show upload aswell VanBuren
  6. oh dern nice but its tested from University of South Florida right? VanBuren
  7. MSS ( Maximum Segment Size ) depends on what type of connection you have for Cable, LAN and some dsl connections its 1460 for dsl or FIOS over PPPoE its 1452, 1440 these are the most common values you can read more about MSS here http://www.tcpipguide.com/free/t_TCPMaximumSegmentSizeMSSandRelationshiptoIPDatagra-2.htm VanBuren
  8. hey bshater and welcome to the forum call your ISP, looks like they have you capped at 1500/384 VanBuren
  9. too bad my stats is off since i used to have a problem with my server testlinks, i been testing my server sometimes and that gives false results ... My uploadstats should be in 1500 to 1600 Kbps even tho my cap is 10 Mbps, the uploadtest here is not accurate for me My downloadstats should be around 9 Mbps of my 10 Mbps cap, so its dern accurate downstream VanBuren
  10. hey Jordan23 and welcome to the forum i assume you have dsl over PPPoE if your using XP and router or any other OS then use MSS 1452 folder If your using XP and no router, then use MSS 1440 folder VanBuren
  11. yea those speedmeters are very inaccurate try this speedmeter instead ctrl+alt+del ----> network this is how it looks on my Swedish version of XP that allow you to see how many % of your LAN speed your using, eg a 6 Mbps connection should be 6% of 100 Mbps LAN. VanBuren
  12. hey Tarmgar Im glad your speed is faster with that program, but my guess is that its just a coincidence... a 4 Mbps connection like yours will go fast with their tweak, atleast downstream cos they dosent tweak upload at all.. Lemme explain abit more I downloaded that program and it cleaned up alot in my pc, but when it comes to TCP tweaking they have no clue... 1. The developers of that program have no idea what windows scaling is 2. They have no idea what MTU diffrent connection types has, they set Cable and LAN to 1492 in the network adapters, but leave pathMTU detection enabled... ( for the record 1492 is used by DSL and FIOS over PPPoE) 3. They dosent tweak upload 4. "License: Free to try; $39.99 to buy" ill attach a cablenut file that use their settings for cable, and its free Make sure to backup whole registry before using that program, unless you know what your doing VanBuren
  13. 1. What OS are you running, ex win 98, win xp, if you have XP make sure you have SP2 installed! Also download the p2p fix for SP2 here https://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1497
  14. dern nice REV0LUTI0NIZED i have no control over that server, i just put my files on it, but maybe they changed the route aswell VanBuren
  15. have you tried the 3000/768 from MSS 1440 folder? if not do that, if that dosent work try this attached file notice that everytime you load new settings, you need to click save to registry in cablenut and reboot your PC VanBuren
  16. yea its old and deep But i still like it alot, its great for gaming, 144 Hz Refreshrate at 800x600 I bought this in -01 so its time to upgrade soon, ill think i go for another samsung but TFT like this one with only 8ms responsetime http://www.datorbutiken.com/se/default.php?artId=SAM913NSI VanBuren

  20. the way i built the files in version 7 makes 5Mbps file exactly as 6 Mbps file so i suggest you test both 4000/512 and 6000/512 file and use the one that works best for you VanBuren

  22. hey maximumsport and welcome to the forum no problem im glad you get what you pay for, that look like a 5000/384 cap VanBuren
  23. well that depends on what "fast" is if you hit 90% of advertised speed, then leave it alone if you dont feel comfortable with tweaking VanBuren
  24. glad it worked out for you ledzepp14 keep visiting and tell your friends about this site VanBuren
  25. a few hours, you need to finetune the TcpWindowSize by testing diffrent latency in the RWIN calculator have you tryed my version 7 files? VanBuren
