  6. do you have the 3 Mbps package or 1.5 Mbps package from Verizon? run that tweaktest again choose dsl choose 3000 as advertised speed choose Win XP if thats what you have choose normal now copy and paste result URL adress in your post VanBuren
  7. hey NoShow the important thing is the average speed during the test, and thats how the test calculate your speed. Its not uncommon with bursts, you can bust up at high speed and might get loss and retransmissions before the test is done and thats bring down the average speed VanBuren
  8. That test is not accurate when it comes to duplex mode, aslong as you have good speed there is no reason to change Set your NIC duplex mode to 10mb half duplex for Cable, for DSL it depend on the ISP service unless you are using a router, if so then set it to 100mb full duplex for both Cable & DSL. If you are using a router make sure you have the latest firmware. VanBuren

  11. call your ISP and ask them what MTU they are using, then set that on your router post again when thats done and i can build a cablenut file for you VanBuren
  12. your MTU seems abit off, do you have a manual for your router/modem ? if so try looking for the MTU settings ( Maximal Transfer Unit ) and change it to 1500 if you cant find that value, i can make you a cablenut file for your current MTU VanBuren
  13. download Dr.Tcp http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe make sure it looks like this attached picture, if you see any value, use delete key and erase it, scroll down and make sure no MTU value is set for any adapter. Now click save and exit download and install cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 , click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry, now it must look like this attached picture, click exit reboot your PC and make a new tweaktest, post result again VanBuren

  18. cool luke keep visiting and tell your friends about this site VanBuren
  19. that sounds fair 174 KB/s x 1.1 = 191,4 KB/s including 10% TCP overhead 191,4 x 8.192 = 1568 Kbps VanBuren
  20. PM CA3LE and ask him for a 12 MB testfile and also a uploadscript, then you just put em in your root and your done VanBuren
  21. Very cool just can you add a uploadtest from your server aswell? and a 12MB testfile both up and down, it would be perfect :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 8091 Kbps about 8.1 Mbps (tested with 7458 kB) Download Speed is:: 988 kB/s Tested From:: http://visioncorp.plexecutor.com Test Time:: Bottom Line:: 144X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.04 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 36.07 % faster than the average for host (bredbandsbolaget.se) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-XW1IF4QS0 VanBuren
  22. then you wont see a big diff in speed you need to add TCP overhead of approx 10 % so the real speed is 1480 x 1.1= 1628 Kbps i would be happy with that VanBuren
