that was alot better, i suggest you update router firmware, and test a new LAN cable beteen your router and pc/ router and modem. if that dosent help, buy a new router. VanBuren
-
yea, thats very correct information however, to choose the latency for a RWIN calculator, i suggest to use the ping to the gateway instead. But this is not really an issue, its almost impossible to find the "correct" latency. I suggest to test a value between 150 and 300 ms VanBuren

Vanburen, Can you help me for this, please?
VanBuren replied to solpiry's topic in Make it Faster...
hey solpiry and welcome to the forum it might be a bad route to this server all the way from Australia what speed do you get on AU servers? VanBuren -
hey Jester and welcome to the forum bypass your router, and connect your PC direct to modem via ethernet make a new speedtest, also make a tweaktest http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks when you see result, copy whole URL adress and paste it here VanBuren

hey johngalt and welcome to the forum find the MSS 1460 folder and choose the file for your cap VanBuren
-
i would leave the settings as you have them now, there is no way to get rid of spiking VanBuren
-
that is correct i made a cablenut file with 8760 as RWIN the pulsing is probl cos you hit cap and start to get packetloss VanBuren
-
no problem bharrebs what is your cap upstream? VanBuren
-
you should also test speed on a server in China, yea you can boost some more using verizon 30000 5000 file, but if you get packetloss the speed will drop even more these files is made for a maximal ping of 250 ms ( worst possible ping during downloading and using all your bandwidth ) what is your CAP ( Advertised maximal speed your connection has upstream and downstream )? try this Change Tcp1323Opts to 3 change TcpWindowsize to 151840 change GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize to 151840 now click save to registry and reboot your PC VanBuren
