  5. no problem i assume you got cablenut installed download this attached file, unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut, in top left corner, click file, load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubble click on the file you unzipped now click save to registry and reboot VanBuren

  12. it shouldnt be that big diff, try updating the NIC drivers, also scan for spyware/virus 9. Download and update then do a scan with SpyBot http://beam.to/spybotsd and Ad Aware http://www.lavasoft.com/support/download to remove any spyware 10. ZoneAlarm firewall has known problems with dropping speed, i suggest to uninstall it and compare speed 11. Install Outpost Firewall http://www.agnitum.com or Sygate Firewall http://www.sygate.com/ 12.   15. hey therockscott you have some loss, go to start-run-cmd and hit enter type pathping testmy.net and hit enter again it will take a while to complete, when its done, rightclick choose all and hit enter now paste all in a new post VanBuren
  16. that test is not accurate when it comes to duplex mode, use the settings that works best for you, 100 Mbps full duplex if you have a router and 10 Mbps half duplex without router works best for most cable connections. VanBuren

  21. firewall, yea that can be a good idea I dont know much about routers, but some using DMZ and a software firewall tweaks? well that depends if you can get 90% of your ISP advertised speed without tweaks, dont bother VanBuren
