My guess is that the hurricane has slowed down some of the routers in the south.. one of the servers is located in Texas.. So all of the net traffic in the south is going to have to be rerouted around the areas that were hit..

They are running a P4 3.0 with 1gig ram and a t1.. for a 16 slot.. i would say put the website and team speak on the same server and then get a different one for the game server.. I havent dont this type of set up.. But it would make more sense to me to have the game server seperate from the VoIP server.. so that you dont have to mess with bandwidth and website traffic..

There is a way to do this.. This is how the first "128K" dialup connection came along... 2x 56k modems then you would split the traffic between them.. I will have to see how they did it..

yeah that is true.. You will like that system.. I have a friend who uses that hardware with their pro version of their software and is able to make kick ass movies.. so the quality is there.. good luck.. let us know how everything works out..

When you get home try sitting right next to the router.. and see what type of speeds you get.. you might be having interference issues where you have you laptop.. that is really odd..

First of all.. welcome to the forums! If you are getting a 404 it is possible that the server on the other end is down.. or it could be the way that you are being routed.. I would also do a spyware scan, virus scan in safe mode, and the paste a tracert to a site that you can not get to.. If you dont know how to do those things just let us know! good luck!

It doesnt require a G router.. it is recommened if you want speed close to the ethernet.. This topic isnt about why the speeds are not close to the ethernet.. it is about why he isnt getting anything close to the 11b speeds that he should be getting..

If i remember correctly the top one ( 3 screens) is like $3000.. so it would also be cheaper.. and you can break them appart later if you had to..
