Why did the number drop?? below 10000?? that is a little sad, might want to consider upgrading the graphics to something a little more updated... the 9200 isnt a directx 9.0 card so you are not even seeing half of the game!! have you updated the drivers to the latest ones?

Be glad you didnt!! this thing is a money pit... I have had nothing but trouble so fat... I have replaced the heat sink fan, one of the exaust fan, the thermal compound and rewired it twice... We finally have it running normally but I will tell you what, this was the most frustrating build I have ever had!

We are working on it as we speak... So far I have replaced the heatsink fan.... It was a pos... I am going to replace the case fans next... The damn thing is running at about 65*C during prime 95... And that is after the new fan... It was running low 70's before..

OK i have numbers and pics... This is my blue baby... Final specs: Asus A8V Deluxe (dont buy this) AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 939 Western Digital 160gb hard drive Saphire 9800 pro 128mb Sony DVDRW+/- Sony dvdrom (dont ask) Cosair 1024mb dual channel kit(2x512) This computer scored 19507 on 3dmark 2001se not to bad... BTW I didnt design this computer... it was designed by 2 people who have no idea what is going on... Hince why we had to send back the processor, the 754 3200+, and upgrade to the 939 so that it would fit in the motherboard... The hard drive was a P.O.S and I would never buy a Maxtor ever again! The motherboard was a disappointment... I would expect more from Asus... It just wasnt up to par with what i am use to... The maunal sucked and they got rid of the toll free tech support... I dont know if that would have solved any of my problems... Well there you have it.. We are still suffering heat problems but we will see what happens...

I do believe that would be illegal... That would be a DoS attack on you computer.. You would have to send so many requests that eventually you computer would become so overloads that the internet would stop completly... I am not sure what that would really tell you in the real world... I have on really quick question about this page load thing... If some one has their browser not to check for new versions of the page or doesnt have cookies on wouldnt after the first time they tested and after that one time they would then just get the speed result from the time that it took the page to load from cache??

He is in the same area and on the same ISP as CA3LE... However, he is also faster than CA3LE... My guess is that you are not going to get much more out of your connection...

Ok a little update... with the second MAXTOR hard drive it was still a no go... Something with the motherboard and the sata hard drive would not allow us to detect it... off to bestbuy to get a western digital... and presto chango we have a computer... Since we just got it finished tonight it is going to be atleast 2 day to get the benchmarks... and pics... Sorry guys but it will be worth the wait.. I promise it is a beautiful machine!

Ok i have found a way to limit your evil persons internet connection... You can a) change their MTU settings.... Which will lower the overall speed... or you can try this program http://bsb.net.ru/en/index.shtml I have never used it so...

What is means is that the ISP sends a config file to your modem and tells it what the max speed allowed on the network is... So if you have a 1500/256 connection you will get a config file to limit your speed to that... Now some times you will get faster than that but that is just a bandwidth flex in the system... Most of the time the ISP will be nice and give their customers a faster speed as long as the network isnt overloaded... But when the network slow down because everyone is downloading movie, mp3, ect. they enforce the speed policy and make it so that you are limited to exactly what you pay for.... Now when cable modems first came out you could use a software crack to remove the speed cap but that was over 6 years ago... And now that is illegal and you will go to jail for that little act... As far as speeding up you connection on your end there a few things that you can do... mess with the rwin, keep your computer clean, and keep your computer up todate with drivers... If you want a faster connection like a lot faster be prepaired to spend the $$
