Hey great news!!! The 939 winchester is expected to be out quarter 2! For all of you who dont know what this means, it means that Dual channel will be available for the Athlon 64. This is going to offer the same proformance as the FX chip in the memory department but still have the overall speed lead in the processor war. Lorne you might want to wait for this to come out!

yeah your are is having speed problems right now. However, you will recieve the 3000/256 for free! That is the speed bump they are giving everyone since the transition from the ATT system to theirs has been so painful!

I agree with that! However, I am not seeing what you are reporting... the home page change, spyware installed, and other kind of stuff. I might just have my security settings set so that I am not seeing these changes, I have no idea. I have worked with flash for a few months now and I have never seen something like this.

Ok I scanned my computer with 3 different spy ware programs and my computer checked out clean.... then ran the movie and nothing was installed. This is the publish options for Macromedia Flash MX. As you can see .exe is an option. I have also looked into the posiblity of installing spyware using the action script for flash. It is highly unlikely but I guess it could be possible. You would still need to have extra files other then the flash file itself.

I am guessing that you had spy ware installed after you view it?? I dont think that you can implant spy ware into a flash file but i am not sure.

It is an embeded flash.... the .exe is a flash project file that allows you to view the presentation with out distributing the .swf file so they cant change the code...

Yeah no kidding... AMD might not be able to over clock like an Intel but they dont need to. They can beat most of the Intel chips stock. Remember once the 64bit processor becomes standard I think that the chip will be come more overclockable. The current chips are based on the server chip. Which is not made to be overclocked! I think we can expect some great things from AMD in the near future!!! I mean some really great thing! We will see if Intel ups the release date for their 64bit processor.

Personally I dont like intel... AMD does have a 64-bit chip... but it isnt the first!!! The Apple G5 had the first 64bit chip. Now one made a big deal about it but now since the windows users have 64bit it is huge... I am not a fan of Apple because Apple cant do anything other then video editing and mutimedia production. As for which chip I would use.... The same chip that is on the pimputer accept I would wait till winchester comes out for the 939 platform. This release will add the speed of the 64bit processor along with the speed of Dual channel!!! So until Intel reveals or decides that the consumer needs to have 64bit AMD, to me, is the current way to go. So far AMD is the only chip manufacturer that has released a roadmap and some detailed specs about the upcomming processors!

You might want the cable company to install a booster on you line!! That is almost the exact same problem that I had with comcast!! THey installed the filter and my connection was back to stable. They added to many people to the line and I then got shafted as a result!
