I know how you feel. It's available in the town right next to mine. I think they're deploying in the "richer" towns first. At least that what it seems like.

I think he's talking about all of that fiber that Google is buying. It seems like the're possibly creating an ISP.

FIOS users don't have modems, nevermind CABLE modems.

I don't know of any other automatic scanners, but http://www.driverguide.com has quite a few older drivers.

Comcast Speeds ONLY!!!!!!
netmasta replied to pitbull481's topic in XFINITY (Comcast Cable Communications)
Are you sure about those speeds? Comcast only offers 4Mb/384Kb (No TV), 6Mb/384Kb and 8Mb/768kb. Also try testing your upload speed with a smaller test. -
Still horrible speeds
netmasta replied to Hollywoodx954x's topic in XFINITY (Comcast Cable Communications)
Getting 8.3Mb is horrible? What are you talking about? -

Just did a Witikpedia search. Nice catch. Homer Simpson in Episode [1F02] Homer Goes To College. I have that season on DVD and was listening to the comentary for that episode. Dan Castellaneta messed up spelling smart during the recording process, but it was so funny they decided to put it into the episode.

Looks weird? It basicly looks like IE. If I had no choice but to use IE, I'd switch to Linux or even... a Mac. You do know that you can customize the look and feel of Firefox?

11 more to go. Remember we go buy the user number. Example: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=217 <-means user #217. It'll probably happen today.

http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/hotelkey.asp Snopes.com says it isn't true, but it could happen. I didn't read the whol thing, but it seems most hotels have a serial number encoded on the key which acts as your "info". They also change the door combination every time a new guest stays there, so finding a key won't do any good.

is this even right for the schools to do(curious)
netmasta replied to billybob12345's topic in Archives
I PM'd that question yesterday. I don't really see anything wrong with this thread. Does anyone else? -
"Hold the spam, hold the virus', special fiber don't upset us. Let us serve it your way." FIOS from Burger King.

Comcast is 6Mb/384Kb.
-
Not to mention, it's a dedicated line. They also probably promise near 100% uptime.
-
Are you running any firewalls? Have you checked your modem's signal levels? http://192.168.100.1/signal.htm Downstream and upstream power levels and downstream Signal to Noise Ratio are what to look for.

Meh... Sounds better than GIOS (guy-oh-s) though.
