  1. they will disconnect you from the service. however, you will continue to pay coz its in the agreement i believe so.
  2. it's the world wide web buddy, anything can happen. when i got my smartbro installed last May, i already knew they have 2 options for checking speed which are 2Wire and TestMy so incase the result of the first is not satisfactory there's a second one to serve. don't worry about posting your comments about smartbro. they will either collect it to improve their service or totally ignore it. after all, what they care about is the income.
  3. UPDATE: Hang on guys... Just a couple of days more, i will post here & in my blog the steps to tweak cFosSpeed trial version to improve internet speed stability.
  4. quickfix is a useless program, its a crap!

  8. ok. better be satisfied with your current speed now. i reiterate that smartbro's advertised speed is just 384, now if your getting 400+ you should be thankful. remember also that it's wi-fi it means there are things called "fluctuating" and "inconsistent". kudos on your new faster speed!
  9. clean your system with CCLeaner.
  10. @ mikegatchie don't panic, everything has its own time and reason. kindly post what your values for the following are: 1) Connection Type = 2) Download = 3) Upload = 4) Latency = 5) RWin = also, the time you speed tested before the tweak and test time after the tweak varied (see the date and time of your scores). the answer might be there.
  11. that could be a factor.

  13. also, be sure to list all the RWin values and the equivalent speeds for comparison purposes.
  14. very well said. i believe the recommendation is a
  15. our pleasure. their are so many guys here who contributed much for the improvement of our speeds. about the no connection thing if its raining hard: are you far from the base station? if yes, heavy rains can affect speed but does not disconnect your signal from the base station. did you check you lan wire for exposure which might cause it to short when wet?
  16. now that you are enjoying faster speed? of course not! smartbro techs are recommending D-Link lancard but i doubt if they have basis for doing so.
  17. welcome back gourame. how are you?
  18. nice speeds. our being in the tmn commnunity helped a lot. now all the complaining has lessen, don't you think so?
  19. yes. you can increase your RWin to as much as 6 digits provided: 1) you do not choke your speed 2) RWin is still scaled
  20. nice scores you got already. during peak hours, the number of users in your base station increases that's why your speed decreases. you can have it checked by calling the smart wireless center in your area or by dialing *1888 customer service.
  21. uninstall QuickFix 2 really quick! delete its registry keys.
  22. downloading and installing the crack version would be illegal, do you believe so? just asking...
  23. Simple DNS 4.0 is not free; it has a 14-day trial period though http://www.download.com/Simple-DNS-Plus/3000-2648_4-10390711.html Simple DNS has some issues http://forums.jhsoft.com/RssFeed36-554-0-2.aspx
