Even though this is old now, it's funny how you seem to completely erase from your mind all of my posts saying this test was inaccurate for me. I had, and still have, plenty of screenshots of me download at 1MB/s.

If it's 5 months older than his, I doubt it's an old AMD.

Uh... The difference is... 7200RPM is faster than 5400RPM. You don't have to upgrade it if you don't notice any sluggishness. And AMD's are better for gaming, despite the lower clockspeed. They use a rating system, whereas Intel uses the actual clockspeed to name the CPUs. For example, my 3500+ Athlon 64 is about on par with a 3.5GHZ INtel, even though it crushes it in gaming and costs about half the price.

I could never seem to get much over 3000kb/s even though I really download at 1MB/s, Well, RCN had to swap my 3100D modem out, and stuck me with a junky 3COM one. I finally found another SB3100D and bought it, and finally got the thing running tonight, and now my speed test scores here are all over 4000. Maybe they'll keep going up. Test scores are limited by my sad upload speed, but 4000 is good for my one way here. I'll post some scores later. EDIT: Oh, and where is that 12MB test?

It officially starts today, users have to unplug and replug their modems, and they should have the new config file. Not big for me, because I have been downloading at 9mb/s for the whole time now.

I miss my SB3100D. Only decent modem I had. I'll have one again soon enough though. 3COM sucks ass.
