Welcome to the forum Mr Natural
unless your IP address changed recently, you only took 3 tests, none of them over 4000Kbps
would you have those tests around by any chance? nah j/k I don't care, I'm just a curious person

thats entirely up to the person who owned that mirror... I guess they didn't want it to be used as a mirror anymore, or maybe it wasn't available anymore...
Welcome to the forum sac-o-beef
you want to choose the Cablenut file of your ISP's advertised speeds, not your LAN speed... I think changing that would fix all your problems...
edit: spelling
Well, that wasn't even what I was most concerned about... you are required by law (I think anyway... haven't checked up on that in a while) to have a FCC licensed installer install a dish that transmits... which the DW6000 does... I would love to go out, repoint my dish at the least congested satellite transponder, and reactivate it... it is quite a trick to do btw... very precise stuff with the transmitter...
Well, I haven't used it, but I'll bet its IE or Netscape or such with some SBC stuff slapped on it...
If you could use FF, I would recommend doing that
A lot of us are still under 50Kbps...

Well, now that I see it like that, he needs an installer to put the dish in for him... legally anyway... it sounds like he couldn't get it set up right by himself anyway... there isn't much we can do to help him if that's the case...
btw, I'm only back from vacation temporarily
I don't know what you got that from, but its not what you are looking for to test your latency...
assuming you have windows, download <a href="https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3341.0;id=1352">this</a>, extract all files, and run autocheck.bat
the server is in Texas... I thought everyone knew that by now...
as for your Cablenut methods, I don't have time to inspect them now... but whatever works I guess
DirecTV gets a stronger signal because its aimed at a larger target... more room for error when you point it... also, signal strength has very little effect on your speed until you get disconnected...
