yes it would.. if part of it was downloaded, or if mozilla is slow on caching it it will read that way. On some downloads i can hold "2mb/s" for over 20 mb.

Firewalls just make people more paranoid... Especialy if you have it set to tell you when an possible attack occurs. I used to use zone alarm pro, and that thing would go off 1000x times a day. I mean non stopped. Their is no way in hell i would be getting that many "hack attempts". Best thing i found is to just ignore it. Unless your mouse starts moving on its own, or typing without you touching anything... just ignore it.

Mozilla always starts downloads that high. Its normal.

Its both. If you have a realy high download speed, and 56k upload, you wont be loading web pages too quickly. You need both download and upload to load webpages. But usualy 30 -> 90 kbs upload & down is all that it takes to load web pages quickly. ( unless it has inbeded music, and flash, things like that. )

For voip to work *almost * well, you need at least a 512 upload. You currently have a 386 upload, as do i. You'll realy need a faster upload package inorder to do voip and whatnot Thats true, but the less bandwidth used, the less sound quality you get. Eventualy its no better then 2 tin cans and a string.
