  1. HughesNet: We promise nothing. We guarantee nothing. We stand by nothing.
  2. Most of the sats on top of businesses say DirecWay. they dont say Hughesnet (although they are both Hughes) There are also two domains. direcway and direcpc. I think the stores run off direcpc. If you're on Spaceway 3, you're in the direcway.com domain and by looking at the profile of the sat, looks like older KU systems. I might be wrong, but I dont those run off Spaceway 3.

  4. Good luck! that never got me anywhere, and after speaking to Tier-4, they deemed nothing was wrong and gave me the famous line "SPEEDS ARE NOT GUARANTEED"..........
  5. Any data IN or OUT of your modem is counted against your threshold. It doesn't matter whether you're doing it for testing purposes or not. I've went over fap WHILE ACTUALLY ON THE PHONE DOING TESTS!!!! You should read the other threads about Hughesnet created on here. I've wrote a book in this forum it seems about my experiences with them. Contact information for Hughes is posted here as well. Give William a call!
  6. probably old KU, since its on the direcpc.com domain. when I was on the 9000, I was on direcway.com domain.
  7. ViaSat estimates that when the deal with Wildblue closes by March 2010 . . . . nothing will even begin to happen until then... the ViaSat-1 spacecraft scheduled for launch in early 2011.
  8. I lost track of who upgraded.. Are you a 7000 to a 9000 transplant?
  9. Speeds looking good there. . . . Question . . . How many days are you into this account getting these speeds?
  10. Not bad for wireless broaband, and its pouring down rain right now.... I would definately not be getting that with Hughes or Wildblue now... :::.. 11. Dont feel bad, Wildblue moderators blocked me too because I posted my suck-a** speed results everyday... My thread had over 1,332 views before they deleted it and banned me! :2funny: :knuppel2:
  12. LOOK AGAIN! it says 75.104.128.37.... Not 74.......... OrgName: Wildblue Communications, Inc. 13. Anyone made use of this information? If so, post your results/experience. Thx!
  14. Gimme 200 lashes with a wet noodle for EVER saying ANYTHING POSITIVE about HughesNet. They are slime! WHERE WAS MY MIND THAT DAY? (OH, wait, I was still in the FIRST 30 DAYS of a second install when things were "ok".)...Downhill as usual after 30 days. The NOC took over.
  15. HOLY CRAP! Was I actually complimenting Hughesnet on June 3rd? Was I out of my mind?
  16. You already pointed that out ONCE in the same thread . . . Your point?
  17. You sound just about like every other ISP tech support person I've ever spoken with. Wildblue and HughesNet are the WORST for blaming it on your equipment (your pc, etc)...when its their crappy service and equipment not getting the job done. COMCAST isn't much better. they run poor quality wire and splitters. they dont fully test our their work after they're through. I had a comcast tech out SIX times when I lived in Nashville.....Finally they blamed it on my pc (which was a brand new HP system.....I even restored it back to factory defaults).. The ONLY service I ever had where I had NO issues was BELLSOUTH DSL! Had it almost 2 years with NO outages, and no tech issues, and no speed issues. That was ONE solid connection I never had to worry about. So for those of you cable tech who bash DSL, find something else to blame your frustations on! LOL
  18. Ummmm, filing a complaint with the FCC wont get you DSL any faster (or at all). That route is a waste of time. I can not get DSL where I live either. They said I was out of range, and the customer base versus cost is not justifiable.... Also, just because you see a DSLAM, it doesn't mean that its serving your address or your area. Do, you might as well stop complaining, it isn't going to help . ..
  19. Can someone send a random email to the "HNS.COM". Its Hughesnet, but the corporate side of them. I have sent several emails to the President, but I am wondering if my email domain is blocked. Someone send a random email to something like . . . . [email protected] or [email protected] and see if it bounces it back to you.... Thx

  21. If the information helps anyone who is at their wits-end with Hughesnet....if helps only 1 person get satisfaction to their issues with Hughesnet, then the information posted will have served its purpose. William Smouse has been my contact at Hughesnet.
  22. I think another user called "FAPMAN" kept reporting the post to the moderator... The moderator said it was inappropriate, and kept deleting it. TestMyNet forums are so much better!! I think the post was informational. The moderator said it was "spam". Screw them!
