not a bad case, and not a bad heatsink, your building a very nice pc.

that modo is very good at overclocking, and your power supply has plenty of power. they only thing i would upgrade the heatsink from the stock cooler just to get some better cooling.

thats a very nice system, you can deffently oc that cpu, ive seen people take it to 3.5ghz and 3.7ghz on air with no problem. and its fast. You did a good job in the parts list.

dont call rr for a new modem, most likely you just using the wrong cable type, a crassover cable. That allows you to connect 2 devices with out a router/switch/hub. Some modems required a crossover cable when going to a router. Change the cable and it should work.

do you have the newest drivers for the card?

yes i know skully123 is my cousin and he posts on broadband reports, thats were he told me to go to get it so he would not have to unlook the modem from the router then plug it into the computer again.

thats most likely your problem, try using channel 8-10 they are no used by Cordless phones

I don' t know much about microsoft wireless products, but give microsoft a call they should be able to help you. It might be a firmware thing. Does it do it on any other computer?

What kinda router do you got?

If you want the absolute best performance for the cable modem you need to get a SV2GRDC 6 Splitter also know as a TAP. What is does is gives most of the signal power to the Cable Modem, there is no DB loss. I had one on my cable modem when i had adelphia and i got 7.1mbps down and 896kbps up.

thats true for the most part. some lcd's use more energy they others. It all really depends on the quality of the manufacture, if you buy some no name pos out of china there powersupply and panel is not going to be very efficient, as if you bought a ViewSonic or SAMSUNG that was made in america or canada its going to be much more efficient and use alot less energy.

I was in a meeting today with the a few people at the company that i work for and we were at a place that had free wifi and i was setting there thinking to my self when i should have been listing and i was thinking about how easy it would be to steel peoples infomation over the open access point there so i though id give it a try, so i fired up Cain and Ethereal, It was so fucken easy i had over 200 passwords 800mb of captured traffic and some guys aim conversation. So i decided to protect my self and everyone elses i know so when i got back the office i set up a VPN on my server and i decided to share it with everyone. that firmware is to be used only if your comcast is droping out, if it does not do that don't upgrade. or you will mess up the modem.

Becasue if your using safari its just a slow browser

if the ISP does what he said they did, reroute his line then that will happen. Were I work we had a T1 for about 6 months and about 4 months in it just started slowing down it would get slower each week, i called them up and they had rerouted our line and merged it with another office, so we cancled them got a T1 from bellsouth and the speeds were right back at 1.5mbps up and down.
