You do know AMD flat out stole alot of Intel technology. If you go back and look at what really made AMD processors take of, it was intels MMX tech. AMD's were shit before they starting using it. Also AMD uses the same FAT pipeline that intel uses and perfected. And Heres another put a newer AMD next to a intel processor and take a look, they look the same, why because AMD stole the design from Intel because Intel had a better processor desigh with the heat sperder and no core exposed. Have you also noticed that once AMD switched from the old design to the new intel design the price went up, thats because the intel processors made to higher quality then AMD's. AMD's would break because they were made at a low cost so quality suffered. Also every AMD processor is made over seas. Most Intels are made in the USA. Look at a AMD it says assembled in malaysia, look at a intel it will eather say costa rica, or USA.

that will never happen, because Intel is defined by the pentium name and 70% of the market don't know much about computers, and they see that word pentium for the processor and they know its fast. And intel knows that. They have had the name for over 10 years, and there not going to change something that works. They have tried expaniding on the name like Pentium D 830 Pentium EE, but it does not work people still go for that Pentium 3, or 4. The next processor will be called the Pentium 5 with some rating system thats better then 630,640,650,660 ect.

the main problem is with the forums, SMF can't handel the amount of connections that testmy.net requires.

Im a graphics designer so i need the most power full card to do my job. but at home im a major gamer so i need a very powerfull card there, so im getting a 7800gt here in a few weeks. I have 2 of these in my PC at work http://bfgtech.com/7800GTX_512_PCIX.html its one sick fucken card.

If you wana stick with duel core go with pentium D. its the fastest duel core processor for the money right now. If you wana stay with singel core check out the athlon 64 3700+ its just a little slower then the 4000+ but for about $100 less.

If you want the best power supply money can buy get this one its a little more then everyone else was saying to use. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103924 that power supply is the only one that will go in my computer, and i love it. its rated at 480W but it will do over 550W with no problem. And its the quitest Powersupply ive ever had And rember don't go cheap on a power supply, the more you spend that better the power supply you will get.

I think the problem is with SMF, it can't handel all the traffic. Cable might have to switch forums. If he goes to vBulletin or phpbb he can handel the traffic with no problem. Ive seen sites with 1000 users online at one time with no problems with the DB

I cant beleve the server is maxed eather but this site is growing so fast, its impossable to keep up with the demand. its like digg.com its growing so fast the hardware can't keep up. Moving the DB to its own server makes a big difference. The company i work for uses a DB to manage everything that goes on in the shop and it was started having problems when it got around 100000 entries in it, so i moven the db to its own server and solves many problems. also if you move from mysql to microsoft sql it makes a big difference in the amount of traffic it can handel at once. EDIT: had to refresh the page 12 times for this post to go through.

got alot of mysql errors all over, not just in the forums. I think cable needs to switch from mysql to a microsoft sql database, he is sterching mysql with the number of users online at once. or get a new server and just put the database on it.

Ok it happened to me twice when i was trying to write this post. :haha: I get the smf connection error when there is more then 500 people on the site at once. i get a major DB error when there is more then 600 people on at once.

That was fucken nasty, and so fucken wrong. why would you post that, i was about to eat dinner, and no i wont eat for a week. resopalrabotnick i wanna personally thank you for posting that.

I will never trust off site storage, unless its my server that i built that the files are going to.
