Just curious to see what some of you ppl have for your browser settings. Goto Tools/internet options/connections/LAN settings. I've got my automaticaly detect settings (unchecked) and use automatic configuration script (unchecked). Use a proxy server for your LAN I've got CHECKED and the Proxy address to use I've got 127.0.0.1 and port 83. That's what the dway website says to have anywayz. But when I CHECK the Use a proxy server for your LAN and put in the 127.0.0.1, my connection times out and I cannot browse! So I uncheck it and it browses slow, but still browses! So is my settings not configured right or is it on DWAYS end?

For me, it runs fine for about 5mins, and then it'll just "die", the lights on the modem stops flashing and I can't get any site up. I'll restart the computer and it'll run fine for another 5mins or so...and it'll just quit again! Hard to tell which end the problem's on!

Ya I think you might be right Bird Fan...They wanted to know what model I was using and I told them 4000, and their additudes changed! Almost like they didn't want to help!!

I've got a network hooked up with my 4000 also. It runs alright but not like I was hoping. The Dway support told me NOT to use the LCCU tool! So does it work with the 4000 models or not? Cuz I don't know why they told me not to use it =/

Geez and I thought it was just ME! I contacted the Dway support and they said it was NOTHING on their end. So I reinstalled the software and that didn't help, and now I just got done doing a system recovery..which didn't help much either lol!!

Ya, I keep getting those too!! And I DO have a paypal account!! It keeps saying that my account will be suspended if I don't click the link and update my info. I don't know if that email is really from paypal or not, so I haven't filled out any info. I've been getting those emails for like 3 months now, and I'm still able to use my account...

I believe I read somewhere that there IS a way to uncap yourself (if using the DW4000) Something about unhooking the cables on the back of the receiver and/or transmitter for like 15min? I dunno...I read it somewhere tho, might've been here!!

Well, I've got everything working now...with a HUB!! Just goes to show ya, don't count on the dway "techs" for any help....they either don't know what they're doing, dont know what your talking about, or they give ya false BS information!!!! DAMN THEM!!!

Ok...I've got everything up and running fine now....I bought a new computer yesterday and I've got it as the "client". So apparently the problem must've been with the other computer that I had as the client!! Ohh..and it helps when you've got the Rev given ya step by step instructions on how to set it up and configure both computers

I'm wanting to hook up a 2nd computer to share the internet (dway) and was told by a "tech" that using a hub won't work, and that a cross-over cable wont work either....that I need a router.

What I don't understand is..ever since I upgraded to the "professional package", Sometimes my download is at 7kbs and 2hrs later it's around 150-200kbs...then it'll drop down to 7 again!! Whats up with that crap?

Hey Rev...nice to see I'm not the only one still up..LOL!! My speeds finally jumped back up to normal....but from 3p.m. to 11p.m. I cant even get a page to load! If the problem IS on their end..I hope they get it taken care of soon, this is RIDICULOUS!! Well, just thought I'd keep ya posted. Thanx again for all the help!!

Yup..everytime I speak to a tech they have me go to this site and check the speed. Even the guy who installed the dish came here to check the speed Very kool site m/
