  1. Glad you had a good time. Maybe ol' Steve forgot how it is. That's too bad.
  2. Without being rude, hell yea, nice lookin sis ya got there Nothin better than a chick on a bike
  3. You wont see any score until you finish a WU, when you switch to the console version, you can set flags , one called " -verbosity 9 " the 9 says how often to send the finished parts, then you set " -local " flag, and the WU's are downloaded in pieces, it just works more efficiently that way. But when you do this, you can't disconnect from the net, because you are assigned a specific , secure IP from the server , it will lose the data, and ooops, need to start another WU. If you have to reset the network , then you click on the shell, and " control c " that will stop the core. You also want in the original set up, in the advanced settings, to save instead of the default 15 minutes, three, that way if something happens, you have at the most lost three minutes worth of calculations. There's a lot more
  4. Now that there would be the breaker for me, get back ahold of them and tell them that !
  5. You might want to start here > http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=21175.0 Welcome to testmy.net
  6. You should use " Kopete " for the software. !0.3 has the repository in it, it should have been ticked during installation. You can search it out , or you can add it by adding the following repository to Yast: protocol: http server: software.opensuse.org directory: /download/drivers:/webcam/openSUSE_10.3_Update_standard/ Start Yast->software In the searchwindow enter "uvc". Select uvcvideo-kmp-default and install it. You'll have to configure devices in Kopete as well. Search to see if your webcam is supported here http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html
  7. I would try the ram in another machine, have you went to the crucial website detector yet ?
  8. I'll second that ! Who cares what someone else wants to believe, I mean were telling our kids right off the bat that they have to be controlling what others do, think about it. There's no argument in the world, nor will I allow any fast talkin BSin crap that will change my mind on that one. If you want to teach your young about religon, or a certain belief, then send them somewhere that does that, but don't stop all of them from traditional whatever, let them carry a bible, or a koran, wear a cross, or headgear, what the hell is it hurt ? Nothing thats right. Don't like it ? then don't look at it, Can't not look at it ? thyen go somewhere else, period. It's high time we stop allowing the few to make decisions for the rest of us, where the hell is my vote ? Like in a town near me, they are going to implement a law that you get a ticket when caught on the cell phone while driving, thats bullshit, if I'm driving through, and need to make, or take a call concerning business, or personal, I'm takin it, and I will take it to court. There waiting to the kids come back to school, ( college town ) so they can have a town meeting about it. But there will be no vote, what a handful of jokers decide, will go for the masses, thats bullshit. * walks away murmuring obscenities under breath *
  9. It has happened, but w/ Crucial , man, that would crush my high expectations of them. Have you done crucials "detector " what doe that say is in there ?
  10. Think about the physical PCIe 'slot." There is an x1 slot which contains 1 electrical 'lane', an x2 slot with 2, and x4 slot with 4 and an x8 slot with 8. In truth calling it an x16 slot is a bit of BS, it is the same slot in every physical sense as an x8 slot (as is a theoretical x32 slot), it is just 2 "bundles" of 8 lanes instead of one. They are basically selling a non truth ,there used to be something called a PEG slot (PCI Express Graphics) that was the x8 form factor designated for graphics use. Might want to think about this when your payin what you pay.
  11. Welcome to testmy.net tippin enjoy
  12. It almost has to be a setting in the bios, reset the bios to original, I would do this, then go from there.
  13. Thanks for the pic, I enjoy seeing older proc's. especially the 350 nm ones
  14. Oh hell yeah, it's a beast !
  15. I would un install both the browser, and adobe, before re installing them with the latest versions.
  16. If you have a network, just make the hard drive shared and you'll be able to copy the files to the new drive with drag and drop. Without a network, you can install the old hard drive in your new computer, and just access the files on it as your D: drive. edit, you really don't want to just copy everything, because there's probably a ton of junk on there you can't see, screwed up left over registry crap and such. Just keep the things you have to , then wipe the other drive , and use it until you think it's going bad, unless this is the whole reason your doing this. There are programs out there that will " clone " your HDD, but hey, I wouldn't do it unless it was a fairly new drive , w/ hardly anything on it.
  17. <a href=http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26059741/>link</a> It is only inevitable that the economies that have weened off tUS economy will slow as well. It seems to me, that I remember hearing President Clinton, ( and we all know what Al Gore's agenda is about ) say something about slowing the US economy , in order to control global warming, could this be the two are related? Both people are involved deeply with the wealthy corporate globalists who have created for themselves a corporate club sanctioned by the president called the North American Competitiveness Council (NACC) whose charter members are: Campbell Soup - Chevron - Ford - FedEx - GE - General Motors - Kansas City Southern (rail) - Merck - Mittal Steel - NY Life - Procter & Gamble - UPS - Wal-Mart - Whirlpool along with the Carnegie, Ford, and Rockefeller foundations, all of which are working in concert with those in positions of power in our courts, military, and government.
  18. I can't answer that question exactly, ( I can ramble a bit ) lol, but what I do know is when you download smaller data chunks, your connection will " seem " to be downloading faster then it really is, plus docsis ( the flow of data packets in , and out ) has allot to do with it. Caps are where they set your throughput, you get " speed bursts " at the beginning sometimes until the flow regulates. Or it may appear as you are getting more then you really are. Ever notice on a large download in windows , you'll get an average d/l speed at the end ? It should be close to what the test was, plus or minus many variables ie: hops, ping times, distance , and network traffic. I'm sure that didn't answer much, but hell, someone here will surely have a better answer, and this may give you something to start with.
  19. The test shows damn near what you should be getting hey ?
  20. It depends on if you have a couple computers that you want to run clients on, and weather you want to connect them in dieno, or -local mpi , there's really so many options we have.
  21. They always run cleaner running in a shell. Definitely read as much as you can about running in console mode, you will have a rough time if you dont, I do it because it interests me, and because at times it can be rather challenging. running MPI, creating a network of computers that fold, and controlling themn from one remote place. Just get as much reading in as possible, and I'll try and answer as much as I can. Don't do anything until you know what your doing, otherwise , you may just discourage yourself.
  22. The more of the work units you complete within the testing period, the more points you get. Say the first WU is completed w/ 67% of the time left, you can submit another, or as many as the machine will finish. Thats how they calculate your points by the percentage of time left divided by days left, or something like that. If you ran the console version, you would triple your points, by completing more WU's.
  23. Anyone using the new beta 6.02 console besides me, and if so , what is your progress ? (IBX in water ) I've just finished the first WU and awaiting to see the point difference from the last core. Beta's usually take several days before they have enough mathematical information to assign point to WU's. So my question is if anyone has finished a unit yet ?
