  9. i tell you what, partitioning used to be, much more difficult, and it really still is, but thanks to the geniuses that have stoked on this for so long, we can stand on there shoulders. When i get into it, it becomes addicting, there are so many different ways to partition between linux, that you can really do some interesting things. Most of the procedures, and ways of doing this are rarely used. You should get a bit more into it in your spare time, it really is the heart of the hard drive configuration. Just for fun.

  17. Many times this has to do with memory, or " nero incd ". But w/o the exact code , ( the numbers you left out, it would be hard to find. I would say since our trying to connect to another server, it would be memory, maybe try and re seat the memory modules, or check the for faults.

  21. It's possible on an intel mac Actually thats not what I have been working on, what I have done is nothing new, there are two guides that coincide w/ each other. The triple PPC boot, Fedora/macosx/Linux ( ubuntu ) , and the intel mac rEFIt, bootcamp, Leopard/Vista/Ubuntu boot,with XP on parallels, all sharing there files. It's done, I'm typing on it right now. Just need to finish the guide, got lazy lol
  22. Could it be possible, that there are many more services running in XP, that could be accessing the net ? And it just isnt optimized? linux has always run cleaner, faster, and more efficient on the net for me.
