Why don't you just set the router back to factory defaults? You must have changed something that you can't see outright. I played w/ the dd wrt settings last night for some time, and I can see where someone could really mess things up. dd wrt firmware on the wrt54g has more settings than my BEFSX41 does, and there's a bunch in there.

I've seen it. The thing that gets me is all those silly graphics, I'm just not into it, when I need to test, I just need the results, not all the "shwag" that many sites have.

What is the theory in setting the IP beyond the devices range? Once more, how is it possible? Never tried it. So wait, you said you got online.......hmm. Using the static must have disabled a setting that you may have inadvertently changed, right? Or could you get online before the static? I don't see where a static would have changed the upnp settings, all that is , is to allow programs to change router settings, ie: a game, or a network utility program you might use.
