  2. Same problem here also, only when not logged in. At the bottom of page there is mumbo jumbo, but if you run your mouse over it it says this. in /home/testmyn/public_html/inc/ads/inline_links_001.php on line 5 And the screenshot below shows what it looks like before that.
  3. Depending on how much you want to spend, here is a pretty good list. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2010380048+1069609641+4805&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=48
  4. Hi falco..... First thing I don't know if you have checked, but you might want to see if you have a AGP or PCI express slot in your PC and or be able to turn your onboard video off from the BIOS. My thought on the power supply is that if your new vid card has a power connector on it you probably would want to upgrade the PSU, also it depends on how many peripherals you have now or maybe in the future such as an xtra H.D. or CD/DVD and the size of the processor is also a factor. All in all it doesn't hurt to have a bigger good quality PSU like 450/500 watt. And you should make sure that your HP takes a standard PSU. Sometimes HP uses a proprietary PSU. Hope this helps............Good luck

I'm sure if we get a bigger test like 50Meg or so it will probably show less. Last night I took off the cablenut tweaks and it went down to about 12Mb/s so cablenut seems to really make a diff with this powerboost crap.
  6. Sorry ......just noticed upload speed test....Didn't see it was direct...

  9. It sounds like the drivers need to be installed for your network card. When you did a fresh install of windows did you install those drivers ? If not, try browsing the CD and see if you can find the drivers because it will not automatically install them. You may have to find out what network card (NIC) you have first, try going to control panel/system/device manager and see if it is listed under network adapters, it may have a yellow exclamation mark next to it. If the NIC came from SBC with the modem, I think they used a D-LINK. If this doesn't help just come on back here and one of us will get you going
  10. Hello Daiquirii...Welcome. If the modem is hooked up through a network card, it sounds like you need to install drivers for it. If you got the card from SBC then the drivers should be on the CD.
  11. Hi amc11890........ I already did that a couple of posts back. But oh well...
  12. I'm the only one? You can say I'm faking results and call me a liar, and all I can say to you Blunted 2 is smoke another blunt.....you really shouldn't be so close minded I'll let you have the last word if you wish, I have tried to show you overwhelming proof of what I am saying is true. At this point it really doesn't matter whether you believe me or not.
  13. This is the second time you have accused me of faking results, not sure what your problem is but I am not here to fake results! The last time i showed you results from all over the net showing that I am consistently getting these speeds, I don't know what Comcast is doing but I'm not going to call them and complain. I know these are burst speeds and have not tried to indicate that they were sustainable speeds. I'm sorry it pisses you off to see Comcast encroaching on your speed range , But oh well too bad. Below I am posting pix of speed test that as far as I know can't be cached, also a download from Microsoft that shows what it can do, it slowly fell down to about 1.7 MBs until the file was done, 266MB in about 2 Min. do the math... I try to get along with everyone here, and you say you are not trying to bash me, but when you accuse me of faking results ? that's just wrong. :::.. 16. Thanks.. I wish it was more than just a burst speed though Through a good server it hangs in there pretty good, the screenshot below shows what it can do at times. It started at 4.05 MB/s and slowly went down to about 1.7 MB/s by the time it was through. So the powerboost does help, it took about 2Min. for this 260Meg file.
  17. I don't quite understand that upload with Comcast, But more power to ya....

  21. Since I got WinXP Pro about 4 years ago I have never had a BSOD. I used to get them every once in awhile with Win98SE and I found out that they were mostly caused by certain hardware configurations on older PC's. The worst OS's I have had problems with were Win95 and WinME, BSOD all the time.
  22. Definitely not cached here. When I first got the Powerboost around the 7th. of this month I was getting around 17Mbps on a speed test, but lately I don't know what they have done but I am getting much better burst speeds. Even downloads like from Microsoft are beginning above 4MBps. and then slowly taper down to about 1.3MBps. and then stay steady. I know these are only burst speeds, but I believe they are real as seen below. :::..
