  1. I guess smartbro have already upgraded there systems ...
  2. email to [email protected] for your concerns about your smartbro internet.indicate your service reference number, your location, contact number on the email. include your bandwidth test.
  3. @nbamaniac RSSI (stands for Radio Signal Strength Indicator) and Jitter are two most important parameters in a microwave link for motorola canopy SM and the base station. RSSI - indicates the power received by your antenna. Jitter can be thought as noise in a transmission. The lesser the value the better. The installer / smartbro field technician will need to test the values for Jitter and RSSI, to determine if the link is good or poor. Minimum values for a good link for RSSI = 500 or above and for jitter = 4. jitter above 4 may result to intermittent connection.
  4. Almost 2 weeks now I don't see any problem with my SMARTBRO connection. I missed talking to a CSR.hehehe.. I suggest flood an email complaints to the CSR @nbamaniac, they will respond quickly thru emails than calls.
  5. Hello Overboost, We have a similar problem before. My upload is 3x faster than my download. What I did was I reported thru email with a snapshot of bandwidth test to the SMARTBRO CSR. Then they sent a field technician to check for my antenna. They found no problem with my antenna settings, right away I emailed back to the CSR and informing them that no problem was found in my antenna. I suspected since before that it was on their Bandwidth that has the problem, for sure it is controlled by them. So the following day, I was amazed that my speed result improved to 400+ kbps mark.
  6. maybe there is a congestion in our broadband connection,,since the school start this Tuesday our connection become slower on the time were the people often use internet connection,, maybe some of the computer shops here use the smartbro, because of that the bandwidth allocated to our area was being use by the computer shops.
  7. To all SmartBro(ken) users in Zamboanga: Are you guys experiencing very slow speeds? Just recently in the past few days, I've been experiencing slow speeds, I used to have speeds that reach 400kbps but now, I only have less than 150kbps. Could it be that SmartBro is undergoing maintenance?
  8. I would like to add something. The problem is not really on your antenna or your PC, the problem is on the BANDWIDTH from the smartbro basestation which is controlled by them. So no matter how you tweak your PC or antenna if the bandwidth is quite small, you can't significantly increase your upload or download rate. Bandwidth is directly proportional to Line Speed...
  9. @nhot maybe ur canopy thats aligned to a particular site is congested during those times you notice your speed gets low. theres a way to see how much subscribers are in your area where you noted your speeds drop. its in your canopy settings in the tool tab then AP evaluation. you might try this to check how many people are online just don't press rescan AP. hope that helps. just a thought maybe lots of people are online during those times. and in case its not and you still get the low speeds then i think its your site on maintenance. you can always query the smart office and ask. @kaiten01 welcome to the forum. you can dig a lot of things here under the smartbro tweak section. http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=18616.0
  10. is your area upgraded already? or if not it could be congestion or site maintennance. most users under smartbro gets low connection for days prior to the site upgrade.
  11. hi silver green, if you have no other choice in your area then by all means go with smartbro. but plenty are having problems with it. like intermittent connections, and really bad customer service. but sometimes, it's quite fast. you'll be learning to tweak alot that's for sure hehehe
  12. oh to add info, i have also added the gateway ip address and dns servers ip address in the zone alarm trusted zone.. i have also used the calculator for cablenut and used 1500 mtu, and 384 kbps download speed and 192 upload speed. don't know the advertised upload speed as smartbro didn't say anything about it.. they just mentioned burst speed upto 384 kbps 7x faster than dial-up.. the latency i put 305 absolute maximum from dcp latency checker.. so i don't really know if the infos i added are correct thanks again guys...
  13. tnx gourame, i already uninstall my cfosspeed and this is my speed.. my upload speed is way different than before.. maybe its because of the cfosspeed.. i try the cablenut but my speed have not reach to your speed.. is cablenut the only program you use? is your base station upgraded?? you can see it to your view transaction history in the http://portal.smartbro.net/index.php.. if your package is SMBRO, it is still 384kbps. but if it change to WR512, it is upgraded..
  14. Hello guys! just like to ask question if the cfosspeed really boost the speed of smartbro?? did you have a cfosspeed install in your system? how about the upload speed?? because this is my test result u can see that the upload speed is very slow.. hope for your reply
  15. Well I can give u advice so cs will forward u to tech team and visit your home: If u have an anti virus with personal fire wall try to enable it and set it to the highest protection. Mine was PC cillin 2007. Enabling it will cause pinging any ip ad will result to request timeout and 100% lost. When they ask u to do basic troubleshooting just like replugging the adaptor and deleting cookies, etc. do it. Then when they try to ask u to ping ip's to cmd as I typed before it will result to 100% lost and tell them that. When they ask u to try to open a browser(IE/Mozilla) report them that the page cannot be displayed even if you can browse or connect to internet. one thing if they ask u whats the status of your LAN just tell them the truth that ur connected. after that when they ask u to type in ur browser portal.smartbro.net you can do what they said and tell them a lie that u cannot go to portal or don't type what they have said instead type www.portal.smartbro.net so that it will result too page cannot be displayed( If u like u can just do the fist thing I said) Note: tell them first that u have no connection for 1 week and above straight. After what I've said to you and telling this to them I'm sure 80% they will make u a report and give you a report number in case they will not call u back for 24 hours because they will tell you that they will call you after 24 hours. If telling this in case if they said to just monitor it just say the same things once a day but I'm sure after telling this they will make u a report. I hope it will help you. That's how to tweak your customer service representative
  16. Yeah I guess the problem is our base station. At first it was oh so fast..but as time goes by.. it gradually went slow. I've already called the Technical Support Team.. I have called them for 5 times so far..maybe I have to called 100 more times for them to fix our problem. Hmmm...I envy you guys...having fast internet connections.. Tnx for the help by the way.. Damn SmartBro..unreliable..substandard.... I think the name should be SmartBroken instead of SmartBro.. Advertising SmartBro is x7 faster than dial-up..but it is not... SmartBro is x7 "SLOWER" than dial-up..
  17. Hello guys..can someone help me. I've already tweaked my SmartBro. But I think nothing happened. I followed that 500,500,1500,1500,enabled...something but nothing changed. It's still slow. Help me pls. I've been suffering from this slow connection for 4 months now, Please help
  18. hi, sorry i have been away for days, anyways with your prob, i think its with smartbro that users must let their TC/IP settings for the internet protocol set to auto. try to switch it back to auto and don't use manual ip. try that one out.
  19. U mean I will go to http://portal.smartbro.net ?? but when I change my ip to 169.254.3.3 and go to my mozilla browser it cant displayed I guess its because I change my ip manually but u said after viewing my canopy page I should try going to smartbro portal. And as u can see to my screenshot above there was a login there I try to click it and type my smartbro portal user name and password but It says unauthorize etc. pls.. give me a detailed steps thank you
  20. What do u mean I will go next to portal?? pls. elaborate your answer When Im in smartbro portal what will I do next? after logging in? Do I need to reset the connection? pls. help I accessed my canopy page when I try again to do the steps in the first page but I cant see the configuration because my level was only guest.
  21. finaly you made it.. you can try logging in through the smartbro portal next. hope that would solve the problem.
