t1wireless Posted March 18, 2006 CID Share Posted March 18, 2006 Which is the best? And by best i mean adware/malware free? I have tried kazaa, bearshare, morpheus but i always seem to get hammerd by spy-ware right after i install. So if you could , would someone plz post a link to a good clean p2p client LImewire or something. Thanks, Tim

just- Posted March 18, 2006 CID Share Posted March 18, 2006 huh i prefer bittorrent my self using utorrent
Ryan314 Posted March 18, 2006 CID Share Posted March 18, 2006 No P2P program is fully spyware/malware/adware free...its just unrealistic.. limewire is spyware heaven.. just make sure you scan everything you download before opening it.. dont download .exe files from limewire either... WATCH OUT FOR THE ZIPPED FOLDERS. In my trial i downloaded 30 different folders that were zipped... at least 20 had a trojan/virus.. As loong as you have a good spyware program and anti virus you should have a problem with MUSIC
FaT_PHiL Posted March 18, 2006 CID Share Posted March 18, 2006 ya you should never use a p2p to download any software at all, just use it for music and possibly videos.. if u really need software use bittorent, all the major torrent sites have comment lists and its 100% safer than any p2p client
Dilatedpeoples28 Posted March 18, 2006 CID Share Posted March 18, 2006 i use Ares, i have scanned it with every spyware and adware scanner out, none found anything on it.
S7R1D3R Posted March 18, 2006 CID Share Posted March 18, 2006 Yea but I tried Ares just now people dont even let u download their music or files. It always says locally paused and no1 is letting u download. The best thing out there that will always work is Limewire Pro Limewire Pro hands down

Swimmer Posted March 19, 2006 CID Share Posted March 19, 2006 I am a bit torrent fan.. but some ISP, comcast for instance, is beginning to throttle bandwidth based on how much torrent traffic you have coming in or out.. I guess they dont like the fact that over 50% of network traffic world wide is P2P related.
Dark06 Posted March 19, 2006 CID Share Posted March 19, 2006 PEERWEB ALL THE WAY BUT IT WAY MORE COMPLICATED THAN LIMEWIRE COMPUTER NOOBS STAY AWAY MOST SERVERS REQUIRE FOR YOU TO SHARE AT LEAST 10 GIG OF DATA
peepnklown Posted March 19, 2006 CID Share Posted March 19, 2006 If your ISP is throttling your bandwidth I would recommend using the newest version of uTorrent. I also mostly use BitTorrent, but at times I use Limewire Pro (make sure to have your virus software running, and or scan each file), SoulSeek, and Emule.
