Swimmer Posted April 6, 2006 CID Share Posted April 6, 2006 what type of drive do you have? You can call the manufacture and a new one depending on the manufacture.. I know that maxtor carries 3-5 years on their drives..

Indestructable I've got like 5 drives that are under 5 gigs and then a 40 gig, but I would have to check to make sure they actually work. php Posted April 7, 2006 CID Share Posted April 7, 2006 php Lol did my drive die? it's dying... still hanging in but I don't think there's much left for it. I'm starting to get read errors, drive not ready for command, dma timeout, odd noises... I think I can get it replaced under warranty but I'm not sure. I also had a 4 month old Seagate die, and a Maxtor that's about a year a half old.

Might be time to back up all of your data that you have on these dying drives.
