Hi Tommie,

I haven't used AVG free in safe mode, would it make a difference?

It shuts down programs that are in relationship with the spyware and virus's, and they can not hide when in there. That is the way i understood it. So yes.

And it works best when in safe mode with networking, and it runs faster. 

Also I run my anti-spyware in there too, while I am in there.

You don't have to do this every time, just if you think something got past you.

well, when i started an year and a half ago it was 256 kbps download. upload wasn't specified. recently they made improvements and the bandwidth usually gets to 512 kbps. in the night it can climb to over 100 KB/s.

when I observed my huge upload i called them and they said it's "unlimited" in speed :lol but it's usually about 1.5 Mbps

you see, here in my country, local networks are very popular so real ISPs rent lines to a lot of LANs. not usual LANs, but hundreds or even thousands of users ( LAN associations).You could create a map only with LAN area coverages.lol So my internet theoretically comes from RDSnet, but I'm sharing it with other hundreds of users through one of this kind of LANs
