Daiquirii Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 For some reason my screen has rotated 90 degrees so everything is on its side. I suspect this has to do with maplestory, because it happened after I started playing, and maplestory is the only thing that is right side up. Please help.(its very annoying). Nos7667 Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 Does it only happen after you play maplestory? If not i would check your graphics rotation setting on your graphics card.
php Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 Right-click on your desktop, click properties, go to the settings tab, click the advanced button towards the bottom... depending on your video card drivers you should see something about Rotation in this window. edit: a bit late... oh well edit 2: doh... wrote the wrong thing... Daiquirii Posted August 22, 2006 Author CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 Thanks guys, I was too concerned to think of the obvious, I had tried regular properties and it wasn't there. I forgot that my graphics card has its own separate properties tab in the middle of the right-click desktop menu. As for the MapleStory thing, I just downloaded it last night, so I thought there may be a connection, but I was wrong, I'm still not used to their controls yet so I probably just hit the wrong button (I have a Fn key that enables alternate keys, probely just hit that with the wrong key, its right next to the main action button Ctrl)

dlewis23 Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 I suppose this only applies if you have a custom video card? any ati or intel onboard card will have this option as well
netmasta Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 Nvidia does too. Not all onboard cards have them, which is not supprising.
cholla Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 To explain it basically it takes you to the controls available for your graphics card or chip. The controls that the driver for your video card put in the display area of Windows is what you get. Guest philp Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 This is why I asked:
php Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 it might just be your drivers too... what video card do you have?
Guest philp Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 Dunno. This is a company HP/Dell machine. I was just trying to find the aforementioned "advanced tab".

cholla Posted August 22, 2006 CID Share Posted August 22, 2006 philp ;Try the Settings tab.I'm putting in a screen shot of mine.It doesn't have a rotation setting .If it did this is where it should be.I guess some video cards might have their own control panel in programs.
