Guest PeePs Posted September 26, 2006 CID Share Posted September 26, 2006 Apparently after you go over the 500 MB upload limit for a day at University of Nebraska-Lincoln you are switched over from the main internet connection onto a 5 MB line. So basically if there are 100 people in the dorms that go over the quota in a day you will have 100 people sharing a 5 MB line. And it just so happens that today I have gone over my 500 MB limit...... check out the speeds! :::.. canpatm Posted September 27, 2006 CID Share Posted September 27, 2006 That's like taking 2nd, 3rd and 4th out of your car because you drove too far. I'm stuck at about that speed until someone figures out why I'm only getting a third of my bandwidth. Today they told me it was the tower and hardware changes were being made.... but it made no difference.
