CA3LE Posted January 16, 2005 CID Share Posted January 16, 2005 I will be working on setting up some members only testing on the new server we just got online (thanks to the Rev) -- I am very busy right now but I did just test from the new server to TestMy.net and only pulled down 10Mbps :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 10152 Kbps about 10.2 Mbps (tested with 12160 KB) Download Speed is:: 1239 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Bottom Line:: 181 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 0.83 second(s) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=49WFNQH8G It does have a 100Mbps uplink and ping to TestMy.net is only 7ms -- so I think I just need to optimize this bitch (it is a windows server... we setup a windows server because I have always wanted to try a windows server) I will give you all more info on this new deal tomorrow, sorry I don't have too much time right now. The Reverend Posted January 17, 2005 CID Share Posted January 17, 2005 Somebody plesae tell me if he was just being "funny", or did that mean that my Server is too slow by comparison? (I want what I paid for)! What are the numbers supposed to be and I'll give TechSupp some heat or otherwise get it up there (just need to know where "there" is)!!!! Thanx! RTB Posted January 17, 2005 CID Share Posted January 17, 2005 Just relatively speaking... I suppose the server can be tweaked further, and that my ping/route to it is same if not better than the route to the normal testmy.net server.
