coolbuster2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Author CID Share Posted August 11, 2007 @coolbuster why does those 2 software don't work for you? Maybe a bug on the installer? no. they don't work for me coz i don't use them. a friend of mine who owns a net shop informed me of some issues she met with both so i didn't use them myself. of course it doesn't mean it'll not work for others... snip07 Posted August 11, 2007 CID Share Posted August 11, 2007 i already got several RJ 11 6 pin plugs, just waitin for the crimping tool to arrive good for you how much is the rj1`1 btw? does the override method will reset the ip address of the canopy, because one of my friend cant access the canopy, even the incompetent smart broken techs daw, cant do anything on it??? yep it will reset the canopy's address back to 169.254.1.
coolbuster2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Author CID Share Posted August 11, 2007 as what the Motorola Canopy tech support emailed me, the reset to default will only be on the usernames, passwords and ip address of the canopy when using the override plug. configs will remain intact unless you reset it to factory settings. coolbuster2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Author CID Share Posted August 11, 2007 a RJ 11 plug is very affordable. however, its the searching that costs much. it took me almost 2 weeks all in all finding the supplier of the material. we will manufacture about 10 override plugs and it will be available on per order basis.
