CA3LE Posted June 28, 2010 CID Share Posted June 28, 2010 Well I can tell you this much, the server is running optimally. The Planet, where the server is hosted did send me this on the 25th... Dear Damon, On June 27, 2010, between 06:00am and 10:00am CST, our Development and Database teams will be performing several upgrades of the infrastructure that support Orbit. While no impact to your servers or customers is expected, Orbit will not be available. Our Support teams will still be available via phone or chat, but may not be able to modify information associated with your accounts or servers. While we've scheduled a four-hour maintenance window, we anticipate about 120 minutes of downtime for Orbit. If you have any questions about the emergency maintenance, please contact your sales representative or our Customer Care Department through our Orbit ticketing system, Live Support chat, or by phone at 866-325-0045. Sincerely, The Planet Support Team Now, it's not supposed to effect my server. But it may be effecting the route to my server. The Planet is no doubt already on top of this, that's why I host with them. My traceroute has a hop in there that looks a little stressed (12). dlewis23 Posted September 16, 2010 CID Share Posted September 16, 2010 Wish I had a friggen pipe like that at home... is that what they mean by" Pipe Dreams"? Lol It would be nice, but most people wont even be able to come close to actually using its potential. 500 Mbps download is faster then a notebook drive can write data at and is pretty close to the max a 7200 RPM desktop drive can write at.
