scdreamin3 Posted August 17, 2008 CID Share Posted August 17, 2008 Ok, may not seem like a big deal to those of you running around anywhere from 10000 Kbps to 40000 Kbps, but to me this is a big deal!! Just checked my download speeds and a REmarkable!! improvement. Now that I am running in Ubuntu, and I think everything is straight, at least for the phone as modem connected to usb. Bluetooth is a different issue entirely, still can't get it to work. Anyway, this is what I was running in Windows XP........ And now with Ubuntu. Yay!!!! mudmanc4 Posted August 17, 2008 CID Share Posted August 17, 2008 You know what, i give you allot of credit man, your not only connecting the phone to get the internet, but running ubuntu, and doing it there to, i love it Those are damn good speeds for what your doin !!!! scdreamin3 Posted August 17, 2008 CID Share Posted August 17, 2008 Mudmanc4 thanks bud. Hey, it's just one of those things. I get something that I can't figure out, and by God I am going to work at it until I can. I have always been that way. Maybe a little crazy. And hopefully, if I get it figured out, I will be able to help someone else who is facing the same problem. I am getting great speeds with the usb cable connected, I just want to see what it will be with bluetooth. Plus I am tired of unplugging the usb from the phone and plugging it into the charger everytime it goes dead. Next phone I get will allow charging via usb cable. All that said, I have got to show this. It is an alltime high for me!................ Although I know it is late at night, or way early in the morning, lol , depends how you look at it, so the speeds are going to be faster. And besides, I am on vacation, I can sleep in tomorrow. lol. I wish I lived close to there to get in on some Wi-Fi. If they ever do invent beaming an body or object to another place, that will be the electronic superhiway they will use. Lol.
